With a history spanning more than 130 years, TAFE Queensland is the leading government provider of education and training in Queensland. TAFE Queensland’s English Language Programs are designed in consultation with employers, which opens up professional opportunities and gives students the best chance to secure a successful future in the workplace. Small class size between 12-18 students with an average class size of 15 students to ensure maximum personal attention. Student’s progress is monitored by teachers through weekly tests, evaluation and feedback. All teachers at TAFE Queensland are fully qualified with university level qualifications in teaching English to non-native speakers. All teachers participate in regular professional development to ensure that they are up to date with curriculum, technology and teaching strategies. Both TAFE Queensland Brisbane and TAFE Queensland Gold Coast have large, modern campuses with state-of- the-art facilities and easy access to public transport, giving students the experience of studying English programs at ‘university environment’ campuses. Our campuses offer a range of on-site services and facilities including cafes, libraries, and welfare and counselling services. Our South Bank campus has additional facilities including an on-site gym and sports hall. Classes mix students from many markets including Asia, Europe and Latin America. Brisbane is a metropolitan and multicultural city and a major transport hub to popular tourist destinations in Queensland and throughout Australia. It’s also within easy reach of the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, with pristine beaches only an hours’ drive away. Brisbane is also considered Queensland’s cultural district when it comes to arts and entertainment. A full annual calendar of events usually features opera, ballet, musicals, concerts, theatre performances, and a range of art exhibitions to choose from. This also includes an open-air moonlight cinemas to make the most of Brisbane’s perfect weather. TAFE Queensland Gold Coast Southport campus With a population of over 591,000, the Gold Coast is the second largest city in Queensland. Located along over 70 kilometres of pristine coastline, the Gold Coast offers a relaxed, beach lifestyle with a big city vibe. On the Gold Coast you’re spoiled with choice with Brisbane city, World Heritage listed rainforest hinterland, and the tourist mecca of Byron Bay only an hours’ drive away.
