February 28, 2020

On Friday night, February 28, 2020, hundreds of synagogues across the country will take part in an his- toric event to celebrate what unifies all Jews – Shabbat.

B’nai Tzedek has everything you need to facilitate a beautiful Shabbat. Register to host or attend a Shab- bat dinner, learn to bake challah, find out how to make Shabbat, and get ready to celebrate! Whether you are a “Shabbat regular” or “novice”, please join us and the tens of thousands of North American Jews who will come together in spiritual unison with Jews around the world and with thousands of years of tradition.

For additional information and to register, see page 6 or visit at www.bnaitzedek.org.

January-February 2020 At B’nai Tzedek, we pride ourselves on supporting our fellow congregants. With everyone’s busy life, we recognize it is hard to attend minyan on a regular basis. However, congregants in mourning or with a yahrzeit need a minyan to recite Kaddish to honor the memories of their loved ones. ow to each our taff With the change in days/times of the religious school, your name may appear more frequently than in past H R S years. It’s important to know that the minyan provides a meaningful community for those who are saying Kaddish, but it is so much more. Sisterhood is excited about ringing in 2020. But, before doing so, we look back over the past year with fond memo- ries. Three highlights come to mind. First was the special Sisterhood Sukkot program hosted by Symcha Weinblatt at her home. Second, we were thrilled with the buzz and participation at our annual brunch. How fortunate we were to have Iris Krasnow speak to our group and hold a candle lighting ceremony, led by Rabbi Weinblatt, in memory of the one year anniversary of the Pittsburgh shooting at the Tree of Life Synaggue.! Finally, donors to the Torah Fund enjoyed a heartwarming evening with a special tribute to the memory of our Past President Laura Rosenberg.
