Results came immediately with the Trojans setting the school single-season USC INFORMATION win record and the most wins in program history over a two-year, three-year, four-year and fi ve-year period. USC has won 109 games over the last fi ve seasons which is the third-most wins in the Pac-12 and the 21st- OUTLETS most wins in the nation among power conferences during that time. USC has had the second-best overall record in the Pac-12 two of the last three seasons (24-12 in 2018 & 22-9 in 2020). STINGY ON DEFENSE -- When USC allowed ASU to score 71 points on Feb. 17, it snapped a streak of seven consecutive games hold- ing its opponent to under 70 points. USC also allowed Arizona 81 on Feb. 22, Colorado 80 on Feb. 25 and Utah 71 on Feb. 27, making it four out of its last fi ve games surrendering 70 or more points. In between those games, USC held Oregon to 58 points on Feb. 22, the seventh opponent it held under 60 points this season. Overall, USC has held 17 of 25 opponents under 70 points. USC is allowing its opponents 65.0 points per game which ranks second among Pac-12 schools.

DOING IT WITH DEFENSE -- USC has held its opponents to 39.3 percent shooting this season, best in the Pac-12 and 13th-best in the country. Stanford’s 51.9 percent shooting against USC on Feb. 2 was the only time this season a Trojan opponent shot over 50 percent. LOOKING FOR A BLOCK PARTY -- USC has had a total of six blocks in its last three games after averaging near six blocks per game all season. Still, USC has had 131 blocks in its fi rst 25 games for an average of 5.2 blocks per game, fi fth in the country in total blocks. Fresh- man Evan Mobley is averaging 2.88 blocks per game, 7th in the country and fi rst among freshmen. Mobley already ranks second on USC’s all-time freshman blocks list (72), four behind Oneyka Okongwu (76), and tied for 5th on the school’s all-time top 10 list for a single season. THE PAINT PATROL -- USC has outrebounded its opponents 1000-808 through the fi rst 25 games and has outscored the opposition 866- 614 on points scored in the paint. USC’s +7.68 rebound margin is second in the Pac-12 lead and ranks 19th in the country. A DOUBLE DOSE OF MOBLEY PLEASE -- USC brothers Evan (9) and Isaiah Mobley (6) rank fi rst and tied for second respectively in double-doubles this season by Pac-12 players. Mobley is one of four freshmen on the list and the only Pac-12 player. LIKE NIGHT AND DAY -- In its 19 wins, USC is shooting 48.4 percent from the fl oor (543-for-1121) and in its six losses is shooting 38.9 percent (133-for-342). USC has also outrebounded or had the same amount of boards as the opposition in all 19 of the wins (196 more total rebounds) and was outrebounded in four of its six losses. USC has a total of 57 assists in its six losses. EFFICIENT OFFENSE -- USC is third among Pac-12 teams with an 74.6 scoring average and second with a +9.5 scoring margin. USC also is second among all Pac-12 teams with a 46.2 shooting percentage this season.

THE GOOD AND THE BAD -- The good news is USC ranks tied for ninth in the country with 548 free throw attempts. The bad news is it has made just 356 of those shots for a 65.0 shooting percentage from the charity stripe, which ranks 318th in the country (out of 340 teams). TROJANS TELLING TALL TALE -- USC hopes that height translates into success as eight players on the roster are 6-7 or taller. Ac- cording to KenPom.com, USC’s roster is the tallest in the country with an average height of 79.6 inches. LUCKY 7’S -- With the turnover to USC’s roster since last season and the time missed due to injury by Ethan Anderson, 77.7 percent (1449 points) of USC’s 1864 points scored this season have come from players who did not suit up for USC during the 2019-20 season. EVAN MOBLEY NEAR THE TOP OF THE PAC -- USC freshman forward currently ranks among the Pac-12’s top players in scoring (7th, 16.4 ppg), rebounds (1st, 8.5), fi eld goal percentage (3rd, .587) and blocks (1st, 72). MOBLEY GETTING NOTICED - USC freshman forward Evan Mobley racked up the preseason honors being named to the Wooden Award Preseason Top 50 Watch List on Dec. 1, to the Midseason List on Jan. 6 and the Late Season List on Feb. 1. He has already been named to the NABC Player of the Year Watch List, the Naismith Trophy Midseason Watch List, a Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Award semifi nalist, a Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Award fi nalist and to the Pac-12 Media Preseason All-Conference First Team. ISAIAH MOBLEY DOING DOUBLE-DOUBLE DUTY -- Sophomore forward Isaiah Mobley scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for his fi rst career double-double in the game vs. CBU on Nov. 25. Last season, Mobley was within a basket or a rebound of logging a double- double four times. Mobley then set a new career high with 13 rebounds vs. Montana on Nov. 28. Isaiah Mobley also has double-doubles vs. BYU, at Arizona St., vs. Riverside, at Washington and vs. ASU to give him six for the season. He ranks tied for second among Pac-12 players in that category and third in rebounds with an 7.7 average. MORE THAN A BOARD GAME -- USC has outrebounded the opposition 788-592 in its 19 wins (+10.3 rpg) and has been outrebounded 216-212 (-0.7 rpg) in its six losses. USC lost at Utah on Feb. 27, despite winning the board battle 41-30. USC outrebounded California Baptist 48-28 on Nov. 25, including 18-9 in off ensive rebounds. The 20-rebound advantage was USC’s biggest in a game since outrebounding Santa Clara 52-27 (+25) on December 14, 2017. USC also outrebounded ASU by 20 (50-30) on Jan. 9. The Trojans have had 12 games outrebound- ing the opposition by 10 or more rebounds. NO THREE-PEAT -- After allowing CBU to make an opponent-record 20 three-pointers in the opener (20-for-41, 48.8 percent), USC has held its last 24 opponents to a combined 32.5 percent from three-point range (160-for-493). EADDY HAS BEEN A KEY ADDITION - USC graduate transfer guard Tahj Eaddy’s baseline fl oater four minutes into the second half in the opener vs. CBU on Nov. 25 gave him 11 points in the game and 1,001 in his career. Eaddy scored 224 at Southeast Missouri State and 766 at Santa Clara. Eaddy fi nished the game with 18 points, including hitting the three-pointer that tied the game at 79 in regulation. Eaddy is second on the team with a 13.8 scoring average, which ranks 14th among Pac-12 players. He is also second on the team with 63 assists. Eaddy leads USC with 49 three-point baskets made (4th among Pac-12 players) and is connecting at a 38.3 percent rate from beyond the arc. Eaddy scored in double fi gures eight games in a row, before being held to 4 at Utah, and 19 times overall, second on the team. In the last six games he has scored 105 points for an average of 17.5 points per game. He also has made 47.4 percent of his shots (37-for-78) in the fi ve contests. PETERSON HAS BEEN DOING IT ALL -- Rice transfer junior guard Drew Peterson got the opening night start on Nov. 25 vs. CBU and came up one rebound short of a double-double and has remained in the starting lineup since. Peterson scored 12 points, had nine rebounds and three assists. Peterson had four double-doubles for the Owls during the 2019-20 season. Peterson led USC in scoring vs. Montana on Nov. 28 with 13 points, vs. BYU on Dec. 1 with 19 pointsand Feb. 27 at Utah with 19 points. He is third on the team with an 9.6 scoring average and a 5.0 rebound average. He had nine assists and no turnovers vs. Santa Clara on Dec. 29. Peterson had his fi rst double-double as a Trojan with 13 points and 11 rebounds vs. Utah on Jan. 2, second with 15 points and 11 rebounds on Jan. 16 vs. WSU and third with 15 points and 11 rebounds vs. Oregon on Feb. 22. Peterson leads USC with 72 assists and came close to a triple-double with 10 assists, 8 rebounds and 7 points at Arizona on Jan. 7. He started USC’s fi rst 22 games and has come off the bench the last three games (starting with Feb. 22 vs. Oregon).

MAKING ADJUSTMENTS -- USC outscored Arizona State 43-27 in the second half on Feb. 17. USC has only been outscored by the opposition in the second half in six games this season, including the last four (vs. Montana, vs. WSU, vs. Arizona, vs. Oregon, at Colorado, at Utah). USC has outscored the opposition by 123 points in the second half and overtime of its 25 games (4.92 points). HE’S BEEN A GOODWIN -- USC grad transfer forward Chevez Goodwin has been a very valuable addition to the Trojan squad. In 14.9 minutes game, he has averaged 5.8 points and 3.7 rebounds. He is third on the team with 36 off ensive rebounds and third on the team with 10 blocks. His .535 shooting percentage is second among Trojans with at least one shot taken per game this season. Goodwin has scored in double fi gures four times with a best of 12 this season and has had 10 games with at least fi ve rebounds. He started for the fi rst time as a Trojan on Feb. 22 vs. Oregon.

WHITE HAS BEEN A STEAL -- Graduate transfer Isaiah White is avaraging 7.3 points and 3.6 rebounds per game while making 21 starts for the Trojans. He is also second on the team with 23 steals. He had 10 points and seven rebounds in 18 minutes off the bench in the opener vs. CBU on Nov. 25. White added 10 points in the second game with eight of them coming from the free throw line. When Ethan Anderson could not answer the bell vs. UConn on Dec. 3, White was inserted into the starting lineup. He has started 21 times for USC and has made 71 career collegiate starts. White scored a a season-best and team-leading 22 points at Arizona on Jan. 7 and had 13 points vs. WSU on Jan. 16 and 11 vs. Oregon State on Jan. 28. A DOUBLE, DOUBLE-DOUBLE...THRICE! -- USC brothers Evan Mobley (17 points/11 rebounds) and Isaiah Mobley (11 points & 11 rebounds) both posted a double-double in the win vs. BYU on Dec. 1. It was the fi rst career double-double for the freshman Evan and the second at that time of sophomore Isaiah’s career and season. The pair also notched double-doubles in the win at Arizona State on Jan. 9 with Evan scoring 19 points and grabbing 13 rebounds and Isaiah scoring 13 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, as well as vs. UC Riverside on Jan. 12, with Evan scoring 20 points and grabbing 11 rebounds and Isaiah scoring 16 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. JOYFUL JANUARY -- USC went 8-1 in the month of January, its most wins in any month since also going 8-1 in January of 2002. THE WAIT IS OVER FOR BAUMANN -- Junior sharp-shooting guard Noah Baumann, who redshirted last season after transfering from San Jose, scored four points and had an assist in 15 minutes off the bench in his Trojan debut. Baumann was 2-for-3 from the fl oor and also grabbed three rebounds. Baumann scored 9 points vs. UConn on Dec. 3 and then scored 18 in his fi rst start as a Trojan vs. UC Irvine on Dec. 8. He scored 11 points and made three 3-pointers vs. Oregon State on Jan. 28. Baumann is third on the team with 23 three-point baskets made. LONGEST BREAK SINCE 1967 SEASON -- The Trojans went 20 days without playing a game following its win over UC Irvine on Dec. 8, until facing Santa Clara on Dec. 29. The 20 days without a game during a season was USC’s longest stretch without a game since going 36 days without a game during the 1967 season (playing Dec. 21 and then not again until Jan. 27). After the game vs. UC Irvine on Dec. 8, USC had four scheduled games either postponed (Dec. 13 vs. Stanford and Dec. 20 at Oregon State) or canceled (Dec. 16 vs. San Francisco and Dec. 23 vs. Texas Southern) due to a confi rmed case of COVID-19 within the USC men’s basketball program that caused team activities to be paused beginning on Dec. 13. DESERT DELIGHT -- USC defeated Arizona 87-73 in Tucson, Ariz. on Jan. 7 snapping a 10-game road losing streak at Arizona, then snapped a seven-game road losing streak at Arizona State with a 73-64 win on Jan. 9. The sweep in the desert of Arizona and ASU was USC’s fi rst since the 1985 season. It also marked USC’s fi rst 2-0 start in Pac-12 road games since the 2007 season. USC had a .486 shooting percentage and held the Arizona school to a combined .372 shooting percentage. USC also outrebounded the desert schools 82-62 in the two games. ADD WATERS AND MIX -- Guard Reese Waters, a member of this year’s highly-touted recruiting class, has graduated from high school early, enrolled at USC and became eligible for competition on Dec. 12. The 6-5 guard from Long Beach, Calif. made his fi rst shot as a collegian, a three-pointer against Santa Clara on Dec. 29. Waters scored fi ve points and had a rebound in fi ve minutes of action against the Broncos. Waters and attended St. Bernard HS in Playa del Rey, Calif. He was ranked as the No. 4 player in the state of California and No. 50 overall player in the nation by 247Sports.com. Waters averaged 17.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game in leading the Vikings to a 22-7 record last season. IT’S A TEAM GAME -- Eight Trojans have already had at least one game of 10 points scored or more this season. CBU SETS AN OPPONENT RECORD -- California Baptist’s 20 three-point baskets made was a USC opponent record for makes in a game. The previous record of 16 was set by Arizona in 2002. CBU made 20 of 41 shots from beyond the arc for a 48.8 shooting percentage. Ty Rowell made 9 3-pointers to tie the record by a Trojan opponent from beyond the arc, set in 2019 by Markus Howard of Marquette. LONDON TO FOCUS ON FOOTBALL -- USC basketball guard and football wide receiver Drake London has decided not to join the men’s basketball team this season and to put all of his focus into football. London played in two games for the basketball team last season and had three rebounds in six minutes of action. This past football season, the sophomore had 33 catches for a team-leading 502 yards, along with three touchdowns.

THE 2020-21 TROJANS -- The USC men’s basketball team has a new look for the 2020-21 season as the strong sophomore core of Ethan Anderson, Isaiah Mobley and Max Agbonkpolo is joined by eight new players which includes a consensus top three recruit in Evan Mob- ley and Noah Baumann who redshirted last season following his transfer from San Jose State. The 2020-21 Trojans will be a team with many interchangeable parts and feature players who can guard multiple positions. USC entered this season having won 109 games over the last fi ve seasons, the winningest fi ve-year stretch in school history and the 2020-21 Trojans look to continue the upward trend.

EVAN MOBLEY HAD A STONG COLLEGIATE DEBUT -- USC’s decorated freshman forward Evan Mobley did not disappoint in his collegiate debut vs. CBU on Nov. 25, scoring 21 points, grabbing nine rebounds, three blocks and three dunks. His 21 points scored were the third-most by a USC freshman in his debut and the most since O.J. Mayo scored 32 vs. Mercer on Nov. 10, 2007.

MOBLEY NAMED PAC-12 FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK A RECORD SIX TIMES - USC freshman forward Evan Mobley has been named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week six times this season, a new conference record. He won for his eff orts for the week of Nov. 30-Dec. 6, the week of Dec. 7-13, the week of Jan. 4-10, the week of Jan. 18-24, the week of Feb. 1-7 and the week of Feb. 8-14.

MOBLEY SECOND-EVER NAMED PAC-12 PLAYER AND FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK -- When freshman Evan Mobley was named Pac-12 Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week for the week of Feb. 1-7, he became the second player (USC’s Onyeka Okongwu in 2020) to earn both honors in the same week. OKONGWU KEEPS USC’S DRAFT SUCCESS ROLLING -- USC 2019-20 forward Onyeka Okongwu was selected sixth overall by the Atlanta Hawks in the fi rst round of the 2020 NBA Draft. Okongwu was USC’s highest drafted player since O.J. Mayo was selected third in the 2008 NBA Draft and fourth all-time taken in the top 10 (DeMar DeRozan 9th in 2009 and Paul Westphal 10th in 1972). For the second consecutive NBA Draft USC has had a player taken in the fi rst round (Kevin Porter Jr., 2019). USC seven fi rst-round selections since 2007 in the NBA Draft are tied for 13th among all college programs. Also, USC’s four draft selections in the last three NBA Drafts are tied for the most among all-Pac-12 teams with Washington and Arizona.

YOU WILL BE MISSED... -- The Trojans have re-loaded and are anxious to continue the program’s upward surge, but there is no doubt that this edition will be a diff erent team. Gone are All-Pac-12 and now NBA forward Onyeka Okongwu (16.2 ppg, 8.6 rpg) and a pair ot four-year players in all-time USC three-point baskets leader Jonah Mathews (13.4 ppg and 247 career 3-pointers made) and second all-time rebounder Nick Rakocevic (10.5 ppg, 923 career rebounds). In all, 8 of the 11 Trojans to score a point in the 2019-20 season are no longer on the roster. All that means is the new edition of the Trojan cagers will be called upon to replace 80.6 percent of the scoring, 76.4 percent of the rebounding and 74.7 percent of the minutes played.

USC had its worst shooting performance since Dec. 3 and its second worst of the season and fell 71-61 at the Huntsman Center on Feb. 27. USC made just 37.3 percent of its shots and lost consecutive games for the fi rst time all season. USC actually led early 18-8 as it pres- sured the Utes into some turnovers, which led to three baskets each by Isaiah White and Drew Peterson. Despite making just four baskets over the fi nal 11 minutes of the fi rst half USC led 29-27 at the break. Utah scored the fi rst eight points of the second half to go up 35-29 and made 12 of its fi rst 15 shots after halftime to build a 50-37 lead. USC cut the lead to 55-50 with 7:34 remaining on a jumper and free throw by Peterson, who matched a season-best with 19 points to lead the Trojans. USC fell for the fi rst time when leading at halftime (16-1) this season and was outscored in the second half for the fourth consecutive game after winning the second half in 19 of the fi rst 21 games. Also for the fi fth consecutive game, the opposition lit it up from 3-point range as Utah made an opponent high 60 percent from beyond the arc, while USC made 15.4 percent from distance. Even Mobley fi nished with 11 points and 8 rebounds but was 2-for-7 from the fl oor.
