3. Date and Venue of the Meeting The Parliamentary Event on Interfaith Dialog will take place in the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Nusa Dua, Bali - Indonesia from Wednesday, 21 November to Saturday 24 November 2012

2 4. Official Language English is the working language of the meeting. Delegates are recommended to arrange interpreters, if necessary. Delegations who have requested for simultaneous interpretation facilities are responsible for their own interpreters. The host parliament will provide interpreters for English and Arabic.

5. Identification Badges Delegates, Accompanying persons, Secretariat Personnel and Organizers of the meeting will be provided with the identification badges and are requested to wear throughout the meeting period for purpose of security. Colours of the identification badges are coded as follows:

6. Liaison Officers A Liaison Officer will be assigned to each delegation. The host secretariat will let you know his/her name and contact information later.

7. Arrival and Departure Delegates are requested to immediately inform the Conference Secretariat of any changes in their flight schedules at least 6 hours’ notice before the scheduled departures, if possible. This will facilitate the expeditious arrangement of local transportation to the airport.

All delegates will be welcomed at the Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar Bali. All changes of the flight schedules should be communicated in advance to the Host Secretariat. The welcoming service will operate from 21 November 2012 at the Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar, Bali and will assist participants with arrival formalities and transportation to the hotel.

Participants are also requested to inform the secretariat at least 24 hours in advance of their departure’s schedule. This will facilitate the expeditious arrangement of local transportation to the Ngurah Rai International Airport. According to the national regulations, any person at their international departure will pay Rp 150.000,- (one hundred and fifty thousand rupiahs) and Rp 40.000,- for domestic departure for airport tax. The airport tax shall be at the delegate’s own expense.

4 SECTION II HOSPITALITY

1. Accommodation The accommodation cost will be covered by the Host Parliament at the Grand Hyatt Hotel from 21 to 23 November 2012 (3 nights). The host parliament will only cover 2 (two) rooms for each delegation, as stated in the invitation letter.

Delegates who check-in earlier before 21 November 2012 and check-out late after 24 November 2012 shall be at their own expenses.

Delegates wishing to upgrade their hotel’s rooms and book more than 2 (two) rooms for additional delegates are kindly advised to inform the Secretariat in advance.

Hotel’s terms: Any delegate who cannot check-in on the arrival date given (no show) will be charged 1 (one) night of the room rate. Late check-out after 2 p.m. will be charged 50 % of the room rate and late check-out after 6 p.m. will be charged 1 (one) night of the room rate. Any delegates who need an extra bed will be charged IDR 350+++-/person, including breakfast.

2. Additional Expenses Any arrangements made by Delegation for accommodation and meals other than those specified above and charges for room service, alcoholic beverages, mini-bar items, laundry, telephone calls (local or overseas) and laundry expenses, will be at the Delegation’s own account.

The additional cost charged for this purpose will be at the delegate’s own expenses and the reservation should be guaranteed by credit card and or deposit at the time of check- in. Any charges to the hotel should be paid in Indonesian Currency (IDR).

Delegates are encouraged to check the status of their personal accounts at the hotel cashier and settle them before departure.

3. Transportation Transportation for Delegation from Airport to the Grand Hyatt Hotel and vice-versa will be provided from 20 November until 24 November 2012.

Coaches will be provided for the delegation and accompanying persons for official function as specified in the program.

4. Meals and Receptions Meals (excluding alcoholic beverages) will be provided for Delegation at venues specified in the program. Delegation wishing to make other meal arrangements will meet the cost themselves.

All officially-hosted Delegation are cordially invited to the receptions and events indicated in the program.

5 5. Social Event The programme of official events will be included in the Conference Handbook, which delegates will receive upon their registration. It is not necessary for individual delegates to convey acceptance of invitation to official functions during the Conference, as these will be deemed to have accepted collectively on their behalf.

The Conference Secretariat is located at Singaraja Room, Grand Hyatt Hotel and will be open from 21 November to 23 November 2012, from 08.00 hrs to 18.00 hrs

2. Registration and Information Desk Delegates are kindly requested to register themselves at the Registration and Information Desk which will be in operation from 21 November to 23 November 2012 from 08.00 hrs to 18.00 hrs, at the hotel lobby. Identification badges and conference bags containing the relevant conference documents will be distributed upon registration.

3. Bilateral Meeting Room Bilateral meeting room for delegation is located at Klungkung Room II, Grand Hyatt Hotel. Delegates who want to arrange a bilateral meeting are kindly requested to contact the Secretariat for proper arrangement.

4. Mail and Facsimile Services Mail and fax services are obtainable from the hotel’s Business Centre. Use of such services will be at the Delegate’s own expense.

5. Internet Services and Typing Pool Internet facilities and Typing Pool for Delegates are available at Penida. Internet connections made through hotel rooms will be at the Delegate’s own expense.

6 6. First Aid Services During the Conference, the first aid facilities will be provided at the premises of the Secretariat room, at Grand Hyatt Hotel. In case of emergency, individuals will be taken to a hospital in the neighbourhood to receive emergency medical treatment. Medical facilities costs and prescriptions will be at the individual’s own expense. Participants are advised to take out adequate insurance.

SECTION IV ABOUT BALI

Bali, is a province in the country of Indonesia. The island is located in the westernmost end of the Lesser Sunda Islands, lying between Java to the west and Lombok to the east. It is one of the country's 33 provinces with the provincial capital at Denpasar towards the south of the island. The province covers a few small neighbouring islands as well as the isle of Bali.

With a population recorded as 3,891,428 in the 2010 census, the island is home to most of Indonesia's Hindu minority. In the 2000 census about 92.29% of Bali's population adhered to Balinese Hinduism while most of the remainder follows Islam. It is also the largest tourist destination in the country and is renowned for its highly developed arts, including traditional and modern dance, sculpture, painting, leather, metalworking, and music. A tourist haven for decades, Bali has seen a further surge in tourist numbers in recent years

The famed Island of the Gods, with its varied landscape of hills and mountains, rugged coastlines and sandy beaches, lush rice terraces and barren volcanic hillsides all providing a picturesque backdrop to its colorful, deeply spiritual and unique culture, stakes a serious claim to be paradise on earth

7 Tampak Siring

Tirtha Empul Temple is a Hindu Temple located in a valley between two hills with big springs and sacred by the local residents as a place to melt all the bad influences in the body and purifies the soul and mind. Tirtha Empul Temple or better known as Tampak Siring Temple or Holy Water Temple is a place to purify our self from the bad influences in life where we can discover the traditional showers sourced from the springs at this temple. The water that comes out from the shower is believed to eliminate all kind of diseases including adverse effect in the human life and give the new holy spirits. This place is very famous in Bali and many visited by local people and tourists every day since it has been appointed as one of the tourist destinations in Bali

Tampak Siring Temple is located in Tampak Siring Village, Gianyar Regency, about 39 km to the east of Denpasar City. It is strategically situated beside of the main street to Kintamani, one of the famous tourist destinations in the island of god. It is set in the valley surrounded by the hill where the west hill was set a president palace of Indonesia Republic

Besakih

Besakih Temple is the biggest Hindu temple in Bali which the local people call Pura Besakih. It owns beautiful view from the top of temple area where we can see the wide nature panorama until to the ocean so that way this temple is many visited by tourists from all over the world. Besakih Temple is located in Besakih countryside, Rendang sub district, Karangasem regency, east part of the island. It is located in southwest side bevel of mount Agung, the biggest mounts in Bali. It is because pursuant to Agung Mount confidence is holiest and highest mount in Bali Island.

Kuta Beach

Once a lonely little village on the road from Denpasar to Bukit Peninsula, Kuta is now the tourist Mecca of Bali, popular mainly among the young and adventurous. Kuta beach is one of the first favorite beaches discovered by tourist. Coconut trees line the sand beach as far as the eyes can see towards the north stopped by the runway of Denpasar's airport far in the west. The sunset in Kuta is most breathtaking. On the south, the beach is fenced by the airport's runway, which gives the visitors a breathtaking landing experience. Kuta Beach bustles with tourists' vendors and locals. It's the most popular beach in Bali and the island's number one party zone. The beach stretches as far north as the eyes can see. As short walk away north, the waves will invite to surfing. Rapid development and an influx of visitors haven't kept the surfers away and Kuta still remains one of Bali's best surfing beaches and a great place to enjoy a beach lifestyle

Ubud

Ubud is a remarkable town in the middle of the island of Bali. For more than a century, it has been the island's preeminent centre for fine arts, dance and music. While it once was a haven for scruffy backpackers, cosmic seekers, artists and bohemians, Ubud is now a hot spot for literati, glitterati, art collectors and connoisseurs. Famous names walk its busy sidewalks

8 everyday. Elegant five star hotels and sprawling mansions now stand on its outskirts, overlooking the most prized views in Bali. Nonetheless, Ubud is still popular with backpackers, mystics and all the finest fringe elements of global society. Ubud is not "ruined". Its character is too strong to be destroyed. It still draws people who add something; people who are actively involved in art, nature, anthropology, music, dance, architecture, environmentalism, "alternative modalities," and more.

Kumbasari Market

Kumbasari Market is located on Jl. Gajah Mada, Denpasar, near the Badung River. This traditional, non-air-conditioned market offers an interesting overview of an Indonesia market. In the basement, you will find the traditional market and lots of traditional kitchen crafts made out of woven bamboo on the first floor. The second floor provides spices and dried goods as well as a wide variety of Balinese printed batik, Balinese and Javanese hand-woven textiles and various batik textiles at reasonable prices, while the household wares and clothing can be found on the third floor.

Sukawati Art Market

Sukawati Art Market is located on Jl. Raya Sukawati, Gianyar, across the Sukawati Traditional Market. Set in a new two-story building, the art market sells a wide variety of merchandises, ranging from statues to dance costumes, all at reasonable prices. A large variety of woven baskets can be found here along with Balinese ceremonial items made from colorful prada (gold painted cloth).
