This trip gives you the highlights and enough reasons for you to come back and explore more of Croatia. We will also visit one of our favourite national parks in Europe, Plitvice National Park with its fantastic waterfalls and emerald green pools. Reiserute Day 1: Tour start in Zagreb Day 2: Zagreb - Ljubljana Day 3: Zagreb - Plitvice - Split Day 4: Split Day 5: Trogir - Dubrovnik Day 6: Dubrovnik Day 7: Dubrovnik Day 8: Dubrovnik tour ends A short intense tour of Croatia from its capitol in Zagreb via the city of Ljubljana in Slovenia via the natural wonder of Plitvice National Park and down to the pearl of Croatia and the Dalmatian Coast. The tour start in Zagreb, a city made for relaxing strolls. Make sure you take a walk through the Upper Town’s cobblestoned streets and take in the history of this historical city. Take a break at any of the many streetside cafès an take in the vibrant atmosphere and youthful energy. The trip continues across into Slovenia to the city of Ljubljana, also known as one of the greenest and most liveable cities in Europe. The city centre is aimed for walking and the ever- present Ljubljanica River flows through the heart of the city leaving a emerald green footprint on this city. You will re-enter Croatian and visit one of the most spectacular sites in Croatian, Plitvice National Park. This park will leave you speechless, with impressive waterfalls, pools of emerald green water, medieval castles and fantastic plenty of walking possibilities. The pearl of the Dalmatian Coast is of course the city of Dubrovnik, and unfortunately fame has its downside and the city can at times be drowned by the hordes of tourists that flock to this picturesque fortified city on the Dalmatian coast (so you will either love it or hate it, depending on the season). But it is an awesome city and unique so just time your visit. If Dubrovnik should be too much, head out to any of the many islands off the coast and get back into a slower pace.
