"But I found out afterward that not only each book had to have a design but the whole output or sum of an artist's work had to have a design." In the following pages I have sought to illuminate that larger design of Faulkner's art by placing the whole canon within successive frames of thought provided by various sources, influences, and affinities: Holy Writ, music, biopsychology, religion, Freud/Marx, William James. In the end, I hope these essays may thereby contribute toward revealing in Faulkner's work what Henry James, in "The Figure in the Carpet," spoke of as "the primal plan; some thing like a complex figure in a Persian carpet .... How do you see these two individuals? DS: In many respects Faulkner and Hemingway personify the concept of “doubling”, which is to say that they were opposites in terms of personality, in writing styles, and in their approach to understanding the world. Yet as contemporaries they were both impacted by World War I, by some of the same writers, and both were committed to transforming 20th century American literature. My daughter and I made one for Edie: American Girl 8th birthday party. Her friends enjoyed playing with the condo so much that she had an American Girl party again when she turned 9. When she was finally tired of the doll bedroom, we disassembled it and recycled the cardboard. For Christmas last year, I upcycled my son's dorm refrigeration box into a doll condo for my nieces. My nieces helped customize their condo. Currently, they are using their doll bedroom as an orphanage. Edie: American Girl my daughter's doll condo, I used two CRT computer monitor boxes taped together. I used the box from my son's dorm refrigerator for my niece's condo. If the box has metal staples, remove the staples, and use packing tape to maintain the box shape while you work. Decide which side the closet is on. Cut a notch 6" from the side and 1" down on the front and back for the closet rod. Edie: American Girl wooden dowel closet rod in notches. Cut opening for door. My door was about 20" wide. I left 8" on the left front and 12" on the right front, closet side. For flooring, I used an old piece of kitchen linoleum. A carpet scrap or wood flooring Edie: American Girl are other options. -

The illustrious history of the families, particularly the Sedgwicks, is a vital piece to the puzzle when one considers how Edie was raised, and the stress on her and the other Sedgwick children in regards to status, money, politics, and education. There may be slightly more than Edie: American Girl is necessary about the family history, especially when it comes to those who are not featured in the book. -
