This increase was attributed to the price of Furnishings, Household equipment & routing household maintenance group by 0.41% The general indices (4.09%), Education group by (2.02%), food and non-alcoholic beverages by (0.76%), Housing, water, electricity, gas and other Decrease of consumer prices in fuels by (0.52%), Recreation and culture group by (0.41%), Restaurants and hotels group by (0.27%). On the other hand the January 2019 compared to the price of Health group decreased by (4.71%), Miscellaneous Goods and Services groups by (2.11%), Transport group by (0.46%), previous month. Clothing & footwear group by (0.45%), Communication group by (0.35%), Tobacco group by (0.12%). during the month of January 2019 compared to the same month of the previous year. The countries of the Eastern Mediterranean Region represent many challenges for the organization of mental health care. Many countries are in a state of rapid social change, some are in conflict or suffering the aftermath of conflict, while others are witnessing the growing problem of substance abuse, with associated HIV/AIDS rapidly becoming a public health priority. This publication addresses three aspects: the planning of mental health services; the current mental health situation in each of the countries of the Region, along with the innovative approaches developed during the past two decades, and the challenges and opportunities for addressing the mental health needs of the diverse populations.
