He got a land grant #982 of 100 acres in Bledsoe County, TN and was still there in the 1830 cnesus. He had 4 sons and one daughter. Henry Shrum, son of Nicholas Shrum, pioneer to North Carolina. We found Henry Shrum listed in the 1830 census of Bledsoe county, Tenn. on page 270. His age, fifty to sixty years. children; two males, one male age fifteen to twenty, one male age five to ten. Three females, one age fifty to sixty, one age ten to fifteen, one age fifteen to twenty. This man would have been born about 1775. This would put him a little under twenty-one years of age when Nicholas died. He died sometime between 1791 when his will was made and 1793 when it was probated.
