Lease area is barren Govt. land. Mining activity has to be done following all the security measures and according to the proposed manner of opencast semi mechanized method.

Total available minable reserve is 146655m3. Proposed excavation (ROM) is 8900 m3 for production of 8455tt1s gitti stone annually. With this proposed production anticipated mine life is about 28 years. Mining is proposed up to 1.2.Om.

As per MoEF notification no. OM No.J-I3OI2 lL2 l2OI3 -IA-II (i) dated 24th December 2013. The project comes under 82 category. Hence Pre-feasibility report has been prepared for a final decision by competent authority in issuing environmental clearance to the proposed project.

3lPage (IUl NEED FOR THE PROJECT AND ITS IMPORTANCE TO THE couNTRY AND/OR REGION:

Basa-lt Stone is most commonly used in building and road construction. The basic objective of the project is effective utilization and fulfillment of the demand of mineral in the region. Basalt/gitti will be supply to nearby area to fulfill the loca-l requirement. After fulfillment of local requirement it will sold in adjoining areas.

(rvl DEMAND - SUPPLY: Basalt Stone is used as building and road material. Lot of developmental work like road and building are going on in the region. It has sufficient demand to sustain the supply of proposed mineral production.

(vl IMPORT VS. INDIGENOUS PRODUCTION:

This is indigenous production. This will not be neither exported nor imported.

(vrl ExPoRT POSSIBTLITY: Not expected.

(vIIl EMPLOYMENT GENERATION (DIRECT AND INDIRECTI DUE TO THE PROJECT: Total IO-L2 Numbers of person, including skilled and unskilled, are likely to be engaged in this project. Most of these persons will deployed from nearby villages.

In the lease area Basalt form the country rock over which recent and sub - recent black cotton soil and laterite are developed. Basalt found is melanocratic grey to black in colour. It is fine to medium grained hard and compact in nature are generaTly horizontal in disposition with south casterly gentle slop.

(vII RAW MATERIAL REQUIRED ALONG WITH ESTIMATED QUANTITY, LIKELY SOURCE, MARKETING AREA OF FINAL PRODUCTS, MODE OF TRANSPORT OF RAW MATERTAL AND FINISHED PRODUCT. Raw material is not required for the stone excavation project, only mining tools & machinery are required. The crushed material of varies in size (2Omrn,4Omm,60mm) will be carried out by the truck f tractor trolley.

5lPage (vrrl REsouRcE oPTIMIZATION / RECYCLING AND RESOURCE ENVISAGED IN THE PROJECT, IF ANY, SHOULD BE BRIEFLY OUTLINED: Resource optimization has been exercised but there is no scope of recycling and re-use in the project. Only top soil (0.-0.3Ocm) shall be used in re- generation of soil quality.

(vlill AVATLABILTTY OF WATER AND ITS SOURCE, ENERGY/ POWER REQUIREMENT AND ITS SOURCES: The total water requirement for the project is estimated 2.00 KLD for mining spraying and domestic uses which will be arranged on personal and purchased basis. No electricity is required even so if required in future the same will be arranged by taking connection from MPSEB

(IX) EQUIPMENTS AND MACHINERIES: It is a small quarry having total area of 1.600hectare. Proposed annual production is about 8455 cubic meters. Mining method will be open cast semi mechanized type using hammer (81b, 2lb), crowbar, spade, iron pots, chisels etc. of various sizes, light duty jack hammer drill, compressor and excavator. Crusher is also installed near by the mine site.
