Motivasjonen for å gå inn i forvaltningsutviklingen av turistfiske, er et ønske om å gi tilbake til regionen som har formet meg, og som nå står i samfunnsmessige omveltninger. Dette mastergradsprosjektet har vært krevende og tidvis altoppslukende. Prosessen har også fylt min egen verktøykasse gjennom kunnskapsdannelse og erfaringer. (Online) 2015 Available: http://www.rrh.org.au A B S T R A C T Senja, the second largest island in Norway, encompasses four municipalities. For decades the island has faced serious challenges concerning recruiting and retaining general practitioners (GPs). In 2001 the county medical officer suggested a plan for improvement of GP service based on inter-municipal collaboration. The plan was rejected by the three small and remote municipalities of Senja. In 2007, after further deterioration of the situation, one of the small municipalities initiated a process to establish a joint service. This was very similar to the one previously proposed by the county medical officer. Within the next few years all the municipalities gradually announced their interest in the development of Senjalegen – the Senja Doctor – an inter- municipal GP service. This has resulted in improved continuity of GP care to the population of Senja.   • Kartlegging Av Radon I Vardø Kommune
    Kartlegging av radon i Vardø kommune Radon 2000/2001 Vinteren 2000/2001 ble det gjennomført en fase 1-kartlegging av radon i inneluft i Vardø kommune, i forbindelse med den landsomfattende undersøkelsen ”Radon 2000/2001”. En andel på 7 % av kommunens husstander deltok i kartleggingen, og det ble funnet at 4 % av disse har en radonkonsentrasjon som er høyere enn anbefalt tiltaksnivå på 200 Bq/m3 luft. Deler av Vardø har et radonproblem, og anbefalt oppfølging av kommunen kan deles i to kategorier avhengig av problemomfang. I den østlige delen av Vardø by er flere enn 20 % av målingene over 200 Bq/m3, noe som tilsier en høy sannsynlighet for høye radonverdier. Statens strålevern anbefaler oppfølgende målinger i alle boliger som har leilighet eller oppholdsrom i 1. etasje eller underetasje i dette området. I Kiberg anslås sannsynligheten for å finne høye radonverdier til å være middels høy, og vanligvis anbefales kommunen å gjøre oppfølgende målinger i utvalgte boliger i slike områder. For Vardø kommune er det imidlertid vanskelig å finne fellestrekk mellom boliger som har målt høye radonverdier, og kommunen anbefales derfor å gjøre oppfølgende målinger i alle boliger som har leilighet eller oppholdsrom i 1. etasje eller underetasje også i dette området. I den vestlige delen av Vardø by er under 5 % av målingene over tiltaksgrensen, og sannsynligheten for å finne høye radonverdier er lav. Anbefalt oppfølging fra kommunen kan i dette området begrenses til generell informasjon og veiledning. I de resterende delene av kommunen er det ikke utført noen målinger, og det kan derfor heller ikke gis noen anbefalninger om videre oppfølging.
