Nickelodeon’s Competition Rules Nicktoons’ SpongeBob’s Big Drop Competition (the “Competition”)
The Competition is governed by these terms and conditions (the “Terms”) and by entering the Competition, entrants agree that they have read and understood these Terms and will be bound by them. Any changes to these Terms will be posted as updates and will be made available on www.nicktoons.co.uk/christmas
PROMOTER
1. Opening Date: 00:01am on Monday 02 December 2019 (“Opening Date”)
2. Closing Date: 23:59 pm on Sunday 22 December 2019 (“Closing Date”)
3. Promoter: Nickelodeon UK Limited (Company Registration No: 2797365) of 17-29 Hawley Crescent, London, NW1 8TT (“Nickelodeon, We or Us”)
WHO CAN ENTER?
4. To enter the Competition:
a) you must be aged 18 or over;
b) you must live in the UK or the Republic of Ireland; and
c) you and your family members must not be employees of Nickelodeon, any other company associated with the Competition or their respective associated companies or agents. Your family members include your partner and any of your children.
PROMOTION PERIOD
5. The “Promotion Period” starts when the Competition opens on the Opening Date and ends when the Competition closes on the Closing Date.
6. The Competition is made up of three (3) individual weekly prize competitions which will take place from:
a) Monday 02 December 2019 to Sunday 08 December 2019 (inclusive);
b) Monday 09 December 2019 to Sunday 15 December 2019 (inclusive); and
c) Monday 16 December 2019 to Sunday 22 December 2019 (inclusive)
(each a “Weekly Competition”).
WEEKLY COMPETITIONS
7. Each Weekly Competition will open for Entries on the relevant Monday at 00:01am (“Weekly Competition Opening Time”) and close for Entries on the relevant Sunday at 23:59 pm (“Weekly Competition Closing Time”).
8. To enter a particular Weekly Competition you will need to:

a) Watch Nick Jr between 6am – 10am and/or 6pm – 10pm and look out for the Present Drop animated graphic (the “Present Drop Graphic”) to see whose Christmas present is being dropped by Spongebob (the “Present”) (a new Present will be dropped by Spongebob every day during the Promotion Period);
b) go to www.nicktoons.co.uk/christmas, open the Competition home page and select the corresponding date (e.g. if you see a Present for Patrick on 02 December, go to the Competition home page and select 02 December from the choice of dates presented);
c) select the Present you have seen from the choice of options presented;
d) complete the personal details form (first name and email address); and
e) confirm you are aged 18 years or over, live in the UK or the Republic of Ireland and have read and accepted these Terms and our privacy policy,
between the Weekly Competition Opening Time and Weekly Competition Closing Time in the corresponding week
(together an “Entry”).
9. If you want to enter a particular Weekly Competition Nickelodeon will need to have received your Entry between the Weekly Competition Opening Time and the Weekly Competition Closing Time on the corresponding week of the Promotion Period. Entries received before or after this time will not be valid.
10. Only one Entry is permitted per person, per day, per Weekly Competition (i.e. entrants can enter each Weekly Competition 7 times, once per day). Multiple Entries per day to a Weekly Competition will be void and may lead to an entrant being disqualified.
PRIZES
11. There will be one winner for each Weekly Competition (each a “Winner” and together the “Winners”).
12. The Winners will each receive a prize bundle. The prize bundle will be different for each Weekly Competition. Details of each of the three (3) prize bundles available to be won throughout the Promotion Period are set out in the Prize Schedule attached hereto (each bundle a “Prize” and together the “Prizes”). Please take care to familiarise yourself with the details of each Prize as set out in the Prize Schedule.
13. Events may occur that render the awarding of any Prize (or any part thereof) impossible due to reasons beyond the reasonable control of Nickelodeon. Nickelodeon will not be liable or responsible for any loss or damage suffered by a Winner should they not redeem or be able to redeem a Prize (or any part thereof) as a result of any such event. In particular, Nickelodeon shall have no obligation to substitute any alternative prize, cash equivalent or provide any other compensation.
PRIZE DRAW
14. The prize draw for each Weekly Competition will be conducted within five (5) working days of the relevant Weekly Competition Closing Time, except for the third Weekly
NICK UK DOC ID: 11634 Competition (closing at 23:59 on Sunday 22 December 2019), where the prize draw will be conducted during the week commencing 06 January 2020.
15. The Winner of each Weekly Competition will be the first Entry selected randomly by Nickelodeon from all entrants who correctly selected the Present which appeared in the Present Drop Graphic that day in accordance with these Terms.
16. Nickelodeon will notify the Winners of each Weekly Competition by email within seven (7) working days of the relevant prize draw.
17. The Prize will be dispatched within 30 days of the Winner confirming their delivery details to Nickelodeon and Nickelodeon receiving any confirmation it deems fit in accordance with these Terms.
18. Prizes can only be sent to a UK and/or Eire address so if a Winner has moved somewhere outside the UK/Eire after entering the Competition, their Entry will not be valid.
19. Nickelodeon has the right to choose an alternate Winner if:
a. a Winner does not comply with these Terms or Nickelodeon has reasonable grounds for believing that a Winner has broken a rule contained in these Terms; or
b. a Winner does not (i) agree to these Terms; (ii) want to receive the Prize; or (iii) give any consent as may be requested by Nickelodeon within 24 hours; or
c. Nickelodeon cannot contact a Winner or a Winner does not respond to any requests from Nickelodeon for information (e.g. confirmation of their address) within 48 hours of such request.
20. Use of Entry: By entering this Competition, you agree that Nickelodeon may in connection with this Competition use your Entry, including any names or biographical information submitted by you or any statement made by you, in any and all media throughout the world as Nickelodeon in its sole opinion sees fit, without payment or further consent.
GENERAL
21. Nickelodeon reserves the right to cancel a Competition at any stage prior to the Promotion Period or to shorten or lengthen the time for entering a Competition during the Promotion Period, if Nickelodeon thinks it is necessary in its reasonable opinion, or if circumstances arise which are out of Nickelodeon’s control. If the time for entering a Competition is cut short or extended during the Promotion Period, the Winners shall be selected in accordance with these Terms from all eligible Entries received prior to such termination date.
22. Entries for Weekly Competitions must be received between the Weekly Competition Opening Time and the Weekly Competition Closing Time on the corresponding day of the Promotion Period. Entries received before or after this time will not be valid.
23. Nickelodeon is not responsible if your Entry gets lost, delayed, misdirected, undelivered, damaged or if you have technical problems trying to enter the Competition.
NICK UK DOC ID: 11634 24. Please take care when entering the Competition to ensure that you provide your correct contact details. Any Entries which are incomplete and/or can’t be read clearly will not be valid and won’t be entered into the Competition.
25. Nickelodeon shall at its sole discretion determine whether an Entry is valid, based on the entry requirements set out in these Terms. Each valid entry will be entered into the Competition. Any Entries sent in by post will not be returned.
26. Only entries from individuals will be accepted. Any entries that Nickelodeon believes have (a) been made via participation in a syndicate or (b) via any form of machine assisted intervention enabling computer generated multiple entries, will be disqualified.
27. The Prizes are as stated and are non-transferable. No cash alternatives will be offered. If due to circumstances beyond Nickelodeon’s control Nickelodeon is unable to provide any stated Prize or any part of it, Nickelodeon reserves the right to award a substitute prize of equal or greater value. All Prizes may be subject to the additional terms and conditions of the manufacturer or supplier.
28. The Winners of the Prizes shall be responsible for any applicable taxes and expenses not specified in the Prize description.
29. Nickelodeon will not be liable for any loss or damage however it was caused (including without limitation in contract, tort or statutory duty) in connection with the Competition and/or Prizes, other than death or personal injury caused by Nickelodeon’s (and/or its employees’) negligence.
30. Any personal information collected by Nickelodeon for the Competition will be used in accordance with Nickelodeon’s Privacy Policy set out at www.nick.co.uk/info/privacy. A copy can be obtained by writing to Nickelodeon by email at [email protected] or by post to Nickelodeon’s address above, marked for the attention of The Data Protection Officer. In summary, personal information collected from entrants will be used by Nickelodeon solely in connection with the Competition and will not be disclosed to any third party except for the purpose of operating the Competition and fulfilling the Prizes where applicable.
31. Although we have made every effort to display images of the Prizes accurately these images are for illustrative purposes only and the colour and variety of actual Prizes may vary slightly from those images.
32. If you would like to know who won this Competition, please send a stamped addressed envelope to Nickelodeon at the above address marked “Nicktoons’ SpongeBob’s Big Drop Competition” within 60 days of the Closing Date and we will send you a list of any Winner’s first name and home county.
33. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and if there are any disputes the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
