Selena Gomez is an American pop singer and actress. She was born on 22 July 1992 in Grand Prairie, Texas. Selena developed an interest in the performing arts while still a child. Her first role came about in 2002 when she appeared in the television series Barney & Friends. After that, she starred in several Dis- ney productions, in numerous episodes of the series Hannah Montana and in films such as Monte Carlo, Princess Protection Program, Spring Breakers, After- shock and Behaving Badly, and in other acclaimed films.
