Preface The Eurasia-Pacific Uninet has been growing fast since its beginning in the year 2000 and has become an im- portant factor in establishing contacts with universi- ties and higher education and research institutions in East, Central and South Asia as well as in the Pacific © Christian Jungwirth Region. This network is by far the largest university network in Europe and a platform of international ex- change in the fields of science and research success- fully linking Austria with this economically important Asian region.
