Achievements of Education and Student Affairs Sector, November 2018 Prof. Al Refa'i Mubarak, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, as representative for Tanta University, travelled to China and signed an agreement about the following: • Setting up Confucius Institute to teach Egyptian students Chinese through Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in China • Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language Program at Tanta Faculty of Arts. The program is at Faculties of Commerce, Arts and Law. Military Education at Tanta University • Military Education held three training courses on the following dates: 1. From November 3 to 15, 2018 with a success percentage of 75% 2. From November 12 to 26, 2018 with a success percentage of 77% 3. From November 24 to December 6, 2018 Scouts • Tanta University scouts participated in the show that was held on the occasion of the National day of the Governorate which copes with the Republic's celebrations of the glorious victories of October. The show was performed on Thursday, November 8, 2018. • Youth Administration for Student Welfare, Social Activity Department, organized a blood donation campaign in cooperation with the major blood bank at University Hospitals and the Regional Center for Blood Transfusion. • Requests submitted by 20 students with difficult financial conditions were collected to distribute financial aids after studying the requests. • Organizing the first event in the history of the University under the title, "Egypt Invents" with participation of 350 inventions. • Organizing the Holly Qur'an and Holly Hadith competition • Organizing the 46th Egyptian Universities football tournament. • Organizing the 14th scout festival • Organizing the events of the Little Innovators competition in cooperation with Middle Delta Radio The Outer Restaurant • Increasing the capacity of the outer restaurant at the medical campus to be 1200 covered meals provided daily for students at different faculties who stay at the university hostels with a nominal cost about 25% of the value of the real cost of the meal. • Setting up Medical Affairs Administration at the University to treat student. It's headquarters is at Sperbay Campus • It is provided with all required supplies to start its service 24 hours daily. All medical specializations are available. .

Currently in Jazan University, KSA. **** Abstract: Background: The transition from nursing student to staff nurse can be exciting, stressful and challenging. The aim of the present study is to assess nursing interns' perception about role transition. Research Design: Descriptive design was used. Setting: the study was conducted at Tanta University main hospital. Subjects: Convenient sample of nursing interns students (N= 113) at Tanta University's main hospital and willing to participate in the study. Tool for data collection: Modified perceptions and expectations of role transition questionnaire were used. Results: Regarding total score of role transition, more than fifty (54.86%) of nursing interns perceived moderate level of role transition, almost fifty of nursing interns perceived low role transition in role preparation and organization and support domains (42.28%) and (49.56%) respectively. However, the majority of nursing internship (62.83%) perceived high role transition in role competency. Conclusion: This study concluded that nursing interns at Tanta University main hospital perceived level of role transition moderate, majority of them perceived high role transition in role competency domain while almost fifty of nursing interns perceived low role transition in role preparation and organization and support domains.

Ibrahim El Bayoumy, J Diabetes Metab 2018, Volume 9 conferenceseries.com DOI: 10.4172/2155-6156-C3-084 International Conference on Diabetes and its Complications May 28-29, 2018 Osaka, Japan Identifying and addressing barriers for insulin use in patients with type-2 diabetes mellitus Ibrahim El Bayoumy Tanta University, Egypt Background: Diabetes mellitus type-2 is characterized by gradual decrease in insulin sensitivity in the peripheral tissues and liver (insulin resistance), followed by gradual decline in β-cell function and insulin secretion. Thus, patients with poor glycemic control require the use of insulin therapy to achieve the target of American Diabetes Association, recommending HbA1c to be less than 7% (≥8% despite of optimal doses of anti-diabetic drugs). Aim: This study aimed to evaluate and addressing the barriers for use of insulin in type-2 diabetes mellitus patients, where their glycemic control is poor, i.e., HbA1c is ≥8% despite of optimal doses of anti-diabetic drugs. Research Design & Method: We surveyed 200 patients with type-2 diabetes mellitus, i.e., cross-sectional quantitative study; patients showed poor glycemic control HbA1c≥8%, already treated with one or more oral agents, who recently prescribed insulin to control their metabolic status. Data were obtained by patient’s interview using a validated questionnaire. The place of the study was in diabetes mellitus clinic in Farwaniyah Primary Health Care Center in Kuwait. Result: Patients with type-2 diabetes failing to initiate the prescribed insulin therapy have reported misconception regarding fear of hypoglycemia in 49% of the total sample, pain from injections in 68% and self-blame about need for insulin i.e., sense of failure in 61% of total sample of study.

They have to exercise judgments and DM skills through learning DM process to act independently and autonomously. Aim: to assess, design, implement, and evaluate an enforcement educational management program on autonomous clinical and managerial decision making for novice graduate nurses. Setting: study was conducted at Tanta University and El Menshawy Hospital. Subjects: all (90) novice graduate nurses working in above mentioned setting. Tools: Three tools were used including decision making autonomy assessment scale, decision making and principles of autonomy knowledge test and educational enforcement program on decision making and autonomy principles. Results: Pre programs, all NGNs have low level of DM autonomy in clinical and managerial decisions and had poor level of knowledge about DM autonomy principles. Post program, (95.5%) of NGNs had good level of knowledge. NGNs (12.3% and 24.4%) had moderate level of managerial and clinical DM autonomy respectively. Conclusion: NGNs at two hospitals not having the authority and autonomy for making clinical and managerial decisions. Additionally, had lacking knowledge about decision making autonomy principles and facing organizational obstacles that limit their autonomy in DM.

Tanta University as a long-standing government educational institution means to prepare students scientific, cognitive and ethical to serve the nation and society and contribute to its prosperity and progress. Therefore, the University is guided in the fulfillment of its mission by a code of ethics as a reference behavior for students and all employees in the performance of the tasks assigned to each of them. This code stems from the belief that teamwork does not represent a privilege or authority for those who practice it, but is the performance of a public service with great goals and a message of honesty, sincerity, responsibility and mutual respect. This ethical code is based on a set of principles derived from the values of our society and our civilized environment, and of human and moral values, in the forefront of which is the respect for human dignity and his right to think, express and disagree with others in opinion and commitment to equality with his peers without discrimination of any kind whatsoever. The University's Code of Ethics consists of a set of rules of conduct that members of the university community of management, academic and administrative staff and students are obliged to respect and adhere to while performing their various work. This Code was adopted by Tanta University in a statement of general principles and ethical rules that should be available in the institution as a whole and for each of its components.

The level of the blockade is established gradually, a method that greatly reduces the possibility of high spinal anesthesia and decreases the likelihood of cardiovascular instability. The continuous spinal technique assures safe and adequate spinal anesthesia and analgesia. Catheters used can be a micro-catheter (24G) or a macro-catheter (>24G), the micro-catheter allow using smaller spinal needles thus decreasing the incidence of PDPH, but it present more technical difficulties. It can be inserted in a catheter-over-the needle or a needleover- the catheter fashion according to the CSA set used, catheter-over-the needle type (Spinocath®) can decrease duration and severity of PDPH by decreasing CSF leak from around the catheter.

The aim of the current study is to compare the nursing students, emotional intelligence skills between Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) and Tanta (Egypt), A comparative study design was used for the current study ,Data was collected from two settings Namely King Saud University (Riyadh) and Tanta University (Egypt) ,The subject of this study was composed of 400 students who chosen by a convenience sample from previous mentioned settings to ensure representativeness ,One tool was used to collect data for the current study, It consisted of two parts : part one A Socio-demographic and Academic Data Questionnaire: Part two ,Emotional intelligence scale to assess the students’ emotional inelegance which is a 33‐item scale. The results of this study revealed that there was a high statistical significant difference between Tanta and Riyadh students regarding their emotional intelligent mean score in several items. In addition to statistically significant positive relationship between total emotional intelligence and scores mother’s education and family incomes (p = 0.004 and p = 0.034 respectively) for Tanta students.
