Currently in Jazan University, KSA. **** Abstract: Background: The transition from nursing student to staff nurse can be exciting, stressful and challenging. The aim of the present study is to assess nursing interns' perception about role transition. Research Design: Descriptive design was used. Setting: the study was conducted at Tanta University main hospital. Subjects: Convenient sample of nursing interns students (N= 113) at Tanta University's main hospital and willing to participate in the study. Tool for data collection: Modified perceptions and expectations of role transition questionnaire were used. Results: Regarding total score of role transition, more than fifty (54.86%) of nursing interns perceived moderate level of role transition, almost fifty of nursing interns perceived low role transition in role preparation and organization and support domains (42.28%) and (49.56%) respectively. However, the majority of nursing internship (62.83%) perceived high role transition in role competency. Conclusion: This study concluded that nursing interns at Tanta University main hospital perceived level of role transition moderate, majority of them perceived high role transition in role competency domain while almost fifty of nursing interns perceived low role transition in role preparation and organization and support domains.

    Ibrahim El Bayoumy, J Diabetes Metab 2018, Volume 9 conferenceseries.com DOI: 10.4172/2155-6156-C3-084 International Conference on Diabetes and its Complications May 28-29, 2018 Osaka, Japan Identifying and addressing barriers for insulin use in patients with type-2 diabetes mellitus Ibrahim El Bayoumy Tanta University, Egypt Background: Diabetes mellitus type-2 is characterized by gradual decrease in insulin sensitivity in the peripheral tissues and liver (insulin resistance), followed by gradual decline in β-cell function and insulin secretion. Thus, patients with poor glycemic control require the use of insulin therapy to achieve the target of American Diabetes Association, recommending HbA1c to be less than 7% (≥8% despite of optimal doses of anti-diabetic drugs). Aim: This study aimed to evaluate and addressing the barriers for use of insulin in type-2 diabetes mellitus patients, where their glycemic control is poor, i.e., HbA1c is ≥8% despite of optimal doses of anti-diabetic drugs. Research Design & Method: We surveyed 200 patients with type-2 diabetes mellitus, i.e., cross-sectional quantitative study; patients showed poor glycemic control HbA1c≥8%, already treated with one or more oral agents, who recently prescribed insulin to control their metabolic status. Data were obtained by patient’s interview using a validated questionnaire. The place of the study was in diabetes mellitus clinic in Farwaniyah Primary Health Care Center in Kuwait. Result: Patients with type-2 diabetes failing to initiate the prescribed insulin therapy have reported misconception regarding fear of hypoglycemia in 49% of the total sample, pain from injections in 68% and self-blame about need for insulin i.e., sense of failure in 61% of total sample of study.

Taking shape in time and space, they all ​ ​ contribute to make writing the epitome of human existence. The question of writing crossing local borders and reaching for a wider audience worldwide has never been an act of straightforwardly communicating a moment in time as witnessed by the writer; this can be better documented by a historian. Only when the writer's characters become the voice of humanity at large, can they cross social, geographical and historical borders. A literary work is nonetheless a commodity in need of effective marketing strategies/mechanisms to reach beyond borders and convey a message from some part of the world probably known through media stereotypes. Far removed from the human and literary aspects of writing as it may sound, this fact pertains to our part of the world despite the proliferating translations of Arabic literature into world languages. Even worse is the fact that inter- Arab borders may prove difficult for Arab writers to cross partly under some immature political pretext or for feigned ethical sensitivities in the age of internet where borders have been dissolved. Writing is truly an individual talent's conceptualization of human experience but for it to cross borders more issues should be attended to.

Despite the actual desertification in Wadi El-Natrun Depression nitrated by tourism and overuse by nomads, 142 species were recorded. Sixty-one species were considered as new additions, unrecorded before in four main habitats: (1) croplands (irrigated field plots); (2) orchards; (3) wastelands (moist land and abandoned salinized field plots); and (4) lakes (salinized water bodies). The floristic analysis suggested a close floristic relationship between Wadi El-Natrun and other oases or depressions of the Western Desert of Egypt.     Update no 16 Humanitarian Situation in Libya and the Neighbouring Countries 4 April 2011 Highlights • The Humanitarian Coordinator for Libya visited Ras Djir at the Tunisian-Libyan border on 2 April. In a meeting with the humanitarian agencies in Choucha camp he raised concerns about several issues, including 1) the lack of reliable information from inside Libya, 2) the disruption of the health care system in Libya due to the massive flight of non-Libyan nurses and medical workers, and 3) the likelihood of a continuous steady flow of mixed migration out of Libya. • An increased influx of Libyan families crossing into Egypt was observed by UNHCR staff at Saloum border. In the past days, up to 2,500 Libyans per day crossed into Egypt. • On 31 March, the High Commissioner finalized his mission to Egypt together with UNHCR’s Director for the Middle East and North Africa. In his meeting with the Egyptian Prime Minister the HC thanked Egypt for keeping its borders open to all those fleeing Libya at a time when Egypt is dealing with its own complex changes. • An increasing number of wounded Libyans have been reported at border crossings in addition to UNHCR staff distributing plastic sheets to new arrivals from several boat loads arriving with family members in Chad. / UNHCR /N.Bose Tunisia.
