E-mail: [email protected] Abstract. Problems of rational water use and water quality assessment are the priorities of many states, especially in the basins of transboundary rivers. Creation and functioning of the cascade of Dnieper reservoirs led to a radical transformation of the hydrological regime of the Dnieper River. As a result, there occurred a significant deterioration of the physical, chemical and biological characteristics of surface water quality, increase of its trophic state, reduction of the efficiency and stability of the aquatic ecosystem of the Dnieper basin, which is largely determined by anthropogenic factors. As a result of interpretation the series of space images (August, 1986-2016) of the satellites Landsat- 5, Landsat- 7 and Landsat-8 with a spatial resolution of 30 meters, the spatio-temporal trend of changes in physical (water transparency), hydrochemical (general phosphorus concentration in water), biological (chlorophyll-a) properties of water areas of reservoirs was determined. In studies trophic state index developed by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection was used to classify all types of water surface, including rivers. It is established that the value of trophic state index in reservoirs is distributed unevenly from 26.5 to 56.5. -

A checklist of alien species with their taxonomy, synonymy and with a complete bibliography of their first records is presented. Analysis of the main trends of alien species introduction, present ecological status, origin and pathways is considered. Appendix 3: Lancashire Key Species Search Results and Definition 'Lancashire Key Species' (LKS) is used by LERN as a collective term to refer to species which have a recognised status, either nationally or locally. Specifically, it includes species identified in one or more of the following sources: The Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2010 (usually referred to as the 2010 Habitats Regulations) implement Council Directive 92/43/EEC on the conservation of natural habitats and of wild fauna and flora (the Habitats Directive) into national legislation. Articles 12 and 13 of the Habitats Directive contains a range of prohibitions seeking to protect species listed on Annex IV (animal and plant species in need of strict protection). European Protected Species are animals and plants that receive protection under The Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2010. LKS includes species listed on Annexes II, IV and V of the Habitats Directive. These species, together with the birds protected under the Birds Directive, are called species of 'Community interest'. The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (as amended) (WCA) implements parts of the Birds Directive 2009 [2] and the Berne Convention (1979) [3] into national legislation. It includes a number of Schedules which are reviewed (usually every five years) on which details of the protected species, and their level of protection, are shown. A detailed summary of the relevant sections of the Wildlife and Countryside Act, along with the protection afforded under them can be found within Paragraphs 118-122 of ODPM Circular_06/2005 . Species listed on Schedules 1, 5 and 8 are included on the list of LKS: Schedule 1 refers to Birds and their young, for which it is an offence to intentionally or recklessly disturb at, on or near an ‘active’ nest. -

Hordiienko (Institute of Telecommunications and Global Information Space of NASU) SUMMARY Regional flooding caused by disruption of water-energy exchange between the surface and underground hydrosphere has become more frequent in Kherson region. The article analyses changes in the upper zone of regional hydrogeofiltration, engineering-geological and seismo-geophysical changes in the geological environment (GE). The anthropogenic factors and dynamics of the flood process formation and its ecological and anthropogenic impact on the GE are revealed. The quantitative characteristic of infiltration feeding of ground waters as the main eco-geo-information factor depending on natural- technogenic factors of its formation is given. The estimation and forecast of possible increase of a level of underground waters in the region, using GIS-technologies, and also the risk of emergencies in the system of functioning of industrial and agricultural potential of the whole region is shown. Active development, in recent decades, of water irrigation (up to 25% of the area), the damming of the Dnipro River as a regional drain (+ 14 meters above sea level), the construction of a large number of ponds (about 200) have led to a backflow of surface and groundwater. -

In this regard, it is necessary to implement comprehensive measures to prevent and reduce the deterioration of water quality, to develop the effective methods of removing the phosphorus-containing substances from wastewater, to conduct constant monitoring (through automated observation posts) of surface water quality with timely manage- ment decisions. The adsorption properties of granular composite materials based on glauconite were investigated The composite granular glauconite materials with sunflower husk adsorbent have been found to be most effective. In 2018, a brief survey focusing on this species revealed its presence in a more than 500-km-long river section spanning from Austria (Vienna, river km 1926) to Croatia (Batina, river km 1425). The largest populations of P. lacustris might be formed in reservoirs and slow-flowing stretches, where the appearance of the species might imply a considerable impact in connection with its zooplanktivorous feeding and important role in the diet of fish. Similar to all the other Ponto-Caspian peracarids that have crossed the Middle Danube, P. lacustris can reasonably be expected to continue its spread toward Western Europe in the future. -
