Rapid Antigen Testing for Employees and the General Population Is In Rapid antigen testing for employees and the general population is in progress – Testing units According to the decree in force, employees in businesses and other professional sectors who are returning to work on 8 February, are obliged to undergo an antigen rapid test. In this context, the Ministry of Health’s program of free screening with rapid antigen test continues, in order to ensure a smooth and safe re-opening of businesses/sectors. Based on the above and to make the screening possible for everyone returning to their work place, the employees are grouped alphabetically according to their surname, as follows: Day/Date Surname – Greek Surname – Latin alphabet alphabet Friday, 5 February Μ – Ο N – R Saturday, 6 Π – Σ S – V February Sunday, 7 Τ – Ω W – Z February Employees are encouraged to adhere to the above alphabetical grouping, so that the program will be carried out in an organized manner without overcrowding or inconvenience. The employees with a surname Α – Λ (Greek alphabet) and A - M (Latin alphabet) who have not proceeded for testing yet, are asked to undergo a test in the following days, since a negative rapid test outcome constitutes a requirement for returning to work. The testing program for employees will be carried out at the same time as the testing program for the general population. In order to better serve all citizens, 56 testing units are operating in all Districts, with extended operating hours for the period 5-7 February, as follows: Operating District Location of testing units hours Agios Ioannis Eleimon Church, 8.30 a.m. - 6 Lemesos p.m. ‘Andreas Themistocleous’ TEPAK 8.30 a.m. - 6 building, Ayia Zoni (old land registry, p.m. Athinon street) 8.30 a.m. - 6 Agios Nektarios Church, Mesa Geitonia p.m. Apostles Peter and Paul Church, 8.30 a.m. - 6 Kapsalos p.m. Panagia Evangelistria Church, 8.30 a.m. - 6 Polemidia p.m. Panagia Chrysopolitissa Church, 8.30 a.m. - 6 Ypsonas p.m. Lemesos 8.30 a.m. - 6 Agia Varvara Church, Zakaki (15 units) p.m. Cultural Centre of the Municipality of 8.30 a.m. - 6 Germasogeia p.m. Apostolos Lucas Church, Agios 8.30 a.m. - 6 Athanasios (Housing settlement) p.m. “Kouris” Union, Erimi (Opposite former 8.30 a.m. - 6 Cyprus Cooperative Bank) p.m. 8.30 a.m. - Trimiklini Community Council 1.30 p.m. 8.30 a.m. - 6 Agios Stylianos Church, Linopetra p.m. Multifunctional Centre, Pyrgos, 1.30 p.m. - Lemesos 5.30 p.m. 8.30 a.m. – Moutagiaka Community Amphitheatre 12 p.m. 9 a.m. – 4.30 Agios Arsenios Church, Kyperounta p.m. “Agios Georgios Kontos” Cultural 8.30 a.m. - 6 Centre, Larnaka p.m. 8.30 a.m. - 6 Larnaka Municipal Theatre p.m. Apostolos Varnavas Church, Larnaka 8.30 a.m. - 6 (Krasas area) p.m. Timiou Prodromou Church, Dromolaxia 8.30 a.m. - 6 (new church) p.m. 8.30 a.m. - 6 “Agios Savvas” Spiritual Centre, Livadia p.m. Larnaka 8.30 a.m. - 6 “Omonia Aradippou” Union, Aradippou (13 units) p.m. Palaio Pantopoleio building, 8.30 a.m.-1 Xylotympou p.m. 1.30 pm-6 Ormidia Community Council p.m. 8.30 a.m.-1 Skarinou Community Council p.m. 1.30 pm-6 Kornos Community Clinic p.m. Old Community Council of Oroklini (1 8.30 a.m.-1 Armonias Street) p.m. Athienou Municipal Building (covered 1.30 pm-6 parking area) p.m. Aradippou Industrial Area (parking area 8.30 a.m.- at the entrance of the Industrial Zone- 4.30 p.m. former Free Zone) State Fair, Engomi (in front of the East 8.30 a.m. - 6 Entrance) p.m. 8.30 a.m. - 6 Agios Pavlos Church, Agios Dometios p.m. 8.30 a.m. - 6 Agios Dimitrios Church, Acropolis p.m. Apostolos Andreas Church, Aglantzia 8.30 a.m. - 6 (Kyrenia Avenue) p.m. Panagia Evangelistria Church, 8.30 a.m. - 6 Palouriotissa p.m. Lefkosia 8.30 a.m. - 6 Agios Georgios Church, Latsia (15 units) p.m. 8.30 a.m. - 6 Agia Paraskevi Church, Lakatamia p.m. 8.30 a.m. - 6 Tis tou Theou Sofias Church, Strovolos p.m. 8.30 a.m. - 6 Agios Vasileios Church, Strovolos p.m. 8.30 a.m. - 6 Geri Municipality p.m. 8.30 a.m. - 6 Agios Georgios Church, Deftera p.m. Apostolos Varnavas Church, 8.30 a.m. - 6 Kokkinotrimithia p.m. 8.30 a.m. - 6 Dali Health Centre p.m. 8.30 a.m. - 6 Arediou Community Council p.m. 8.30 a.m. - 6 Peristerona Community Council p.m. Church of the Apostles Pavlos and 8.30 a.m. - 6 Varnavas, Pafos p.m. Former House of the District Officer, 8.30 a.m. - 6 Pafos (Griva Digeni Street) p.m. Apostolos Andreas Church, Polis 8.30 a.m. - 1 Chrysochous p.m. Pafos (6 units) Multipurpose Hall of the Community 2 p.m. - 6 Council of Emba p.m. 8.30 a.m. - 1 Timi Community Clinic p.m. 1.30 p.m. - 6 Church of Agia Paraskevi, Geroskipou p.m. Spiritual Centre of the Metropolitan 8.30 a.m. - 6 Church of Paralimni p.m. Ammochostos 8.30 a.m. - 1 “Onisilos” Union, Sotira (7 units) p.m. 1.30 pm - 6 Agia Napa Church, Agia Napa p.m. 8.30 a.m. - 1 Avgorou Senior Citizens’ club p.m. 1.30 p.m.-6 Ethnikofrona Somateia of Liopetri p.m. 8.30 a.m. - 1 Frenaros Community Council p.m. 1.30 p.m. – 6 Deryneia Adults’ Centre p.m. It is noted that employees, who are working in businesses or the public and wider public sector, can proceed to the above testing units for a rapid test, in order to comply with the following mandatory weekly examination of personnel with a rapid antigen test: businesses/services employing up to 3 people, all employees should be tested businesses/services employing between 4 and 10 people, at least 4 employees should be tested businesses/services employing more than 11 people, at least 4 people or 20 % of employees should be tested, whichever is higher in number. ----------------- 5/2/2021 .

The wild bees of the island were studied extensively by the native George Mavro- moustakis, a world-renowned bee taxonomist, who collected extensively on the island from 1916 to 1957 and summarised his results in a series of eight Cyprus-specific papers published from 1949 [“1948”] to 1957.
