Russell Denness, Group Chief Executive 02 THE PICTURESQUE VILLAGE OF CHOBHAM, TUCKED IN THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF SURREY, IS STEEPED IN HISTORY AND SURROUNDED BY AWE-INSPIRING COUNTRYSIDE. Records for ‘Cebeham’, as the area was then known, exist dating back to the Seventh Century, and the village is mentioned in the Domesday Book, listed as an estate controlled by Chertsey Abbey. Local archaeological discoveries, including Neolithic flint tools, round barrows, and Roman coins suggest even earlier inhabitation. A village rich in history and character, the centre of Chobham is a designated conservation area, boasting a number of beautiful half-timbered listed buildings and the stunning Church of St. Lawrence, construction of which was started soon after the Norman Conquest. The high street is home to a variety of boutiques and independent stores, including a post office, an equestrian centre, a craft furniture store, florists, a wine merchant, a public house and a number of reputable places to eat. 03 Chobham is served by a regular bus services to nearby Woking. There is good access to the national motorway network, with the M3 (J3) and M25 (J11) both a short drive away, providing easy routes to both Heathrow and Gatwick Airport. A number of highly regarded schools serve the local area, with Halstead Preparatory School located a little over two miles from the village centre and the outstanding rated Gordon’s School, one the country’s leading boarding schools, under four miles away. 04 To the north of the village is Chobham Common, an expansive area of lowland heath, one of the last remaining examples of its kind to be found on the planet. Served by six car parks, and full of history, it is wonderful to explore on long countryside walks. An ancient landscape, originally shaped by prehistoric farmers, the common is now a vast patchwork of mini-ecosystems and habitats boasting over 100 species of bird, and more than 300 varieties of wild flowers, including rare orchids and purple flowering heather during the summer months. 05 A vibrant village with a rich events calendar, Chobham holds a carnival every May Bank Holiday and the annual village festival, usually held toward the end of September, offers a diverse range of music, art, theatre and cultural events that attracts visitors from far and wide. There are many places of interest and things to do in and around Chobham. The village pub is a popular destination for locals on evenings and weekends, with nearby Chobham Adventure Farm providing no end of excitement for younger residents. Further afield, there are a number of award winning golf courses, including those at Pine Ridge and Sunningdale and the garden at RHS Wisley is just a short drive away. 06 07 YOUR NEW HOME TRADITIONAL BUILD Traditional construction Slate roof tiling Electric timber garage doors High performance anthracite foil wrapped PVCu windows Recessed lighting to Hall, Landing, Kitchen, Utility, Bathroom and En suites Finished flooring throughout Log burners to Living Room Electric gates to private drive KITCHEN AND UTILITY Designer kitchen Soft close doors and drawers Silestone worktops and upstands Two Siemens electric single oven Two Siemens electric warming drawers Siemens microwave Siemens 5 burner gas hob Two integrated fridge/freezers Integrated dishwasher Caple wine cooler Three sets of bifold doors per plot Power and plumbing for washing machine and tumble dryer 08 BATHROOMS Fitted furniture by Villeroy and Boch Contemporary white sanitaryware by Villeroy and Boch Hansgrohe brassware Aqualisa shower with thermostatic shower in En suites Electric underfloor comfort heating Porcelain wall tiles and floor tiles Bespoke fitted wall mirrors HEATING Under floor heating to ground floor Gas central heating to first floor Electric comfort heating to wet rooms 09 DECORATION AND JOINERY White painted skirting and architraves Oak veneer internal doors Built in wardrobes with oak veneer doors (as shown on floor plans) EXTERNAL Landscaping to front garden Rear garden laid to lawn with contemporary boarded fencing Generous Indian Sandstone terrace Block paved driveway External water tap Rainwater butt Power and lighting to garage 10 DECORATION AND JOINERY COMFORT AND SECURITY White painted skirting and architraves Front door with side lights and multipoint locking system Oak veneer internal doors Security alarm Built in wardrobes with oak veneer doors Mains wired smoke detetors (as shown on floor plans) 10 year NHBC Buildmark cover EXTERNAL Landscaping to front garden Rear garden laid to lawn with contemporary boarded fencing Generous Indian Sandstone terrace Block paved driveway External water tap Rainwater butt Power and lighting to garage 11 SIENNA FLORA 12 FERNDOWN 13 14 15 16 17 GENERAL DEVELOPMENT LAYOUT Bagshot Road N PLOT 3 Footpath PLOT 1 PLOT 2 Farm track 18 SIENNA FLORA CHOBHAM PLOT 1 - • Portfolio: Non-Executive Function Community Governance Review Ward(S) Affected: Bagshot; Windlesham Purpose: to Consider a Reque
Community Governance Review Portfolio: Non-Executive Function Ward(s) Bagshot; Affected: Windlesham Purpose: To consider a request from Windlesham Parish Council to conduct a Community Governance Review in order to re-instate an equal number of councillors representing each village in the parish area. 1. Background 1.1. In 2016-17 the Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE) carried out an electoral review of Surrey Heath Borough and provided revised electoral arrangements for the borough, to be effective from May 2019. These arrangements included alterations to boundaries between Bagshot and Windlesham wards, with 550 households moving from Windlesham ward to Bagshot ward. 1.2. In conducting its reviews, the LGBCE must be mindful of electoral equality, meaning the number of voters represented by each councillor must be approximately the same across the borough, ideally within a variance of 10%. 1.3. Electoral equality relates to the ratio of electors to councillor, rather than an equality of representatives allocated to settlement areas. The ratios only apply within the authority area, meaning any comparisons with elector to councillor ratios in adjoining boroughs or parishes are irrelevant. 1.4. Schedule 2 of the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009 requires that a parish ward must lie wholly within a single borough electoral ward. 1.5. As a consequence of the borough review, the LGBCE provided revised arrangements for Windlesham parish. The revised boundaries for the parish reflect the revised borough boundaries, meaning that the electors in the north of Windlesham ward will transfer from Windlesham parish ward to Bagshot parish ward.

It was housed in the Frimley and Camberley Urban District Council Offices on London Road. In the 1960s the museum moved to Newstead, a Victorian house on Knoll Road in Camberley. In the 1970s it was closed and Newstead demolished. At that time a team of staff were employed to catalogue the whole collection. In 1987, the museum reopened in an annex of Surrey Heath Borough Council offices with a permanent display, exhibition area and on-site storage facilities.
