John Slavin Award 2016 BAFANL Season BAFRA awards the John Slavin Trophy in even-numbered years to the team with the best marked field. This includes correct field dimensions, correct line and other markings, correct size goal posts, correct positioning of pylons and the condition of the field surface. The title is awarded to the team that has comes out best in an audit carried out by BAFRA members at each game. A perfect facility scores 0. The award is named after John Slavin. John was a long-serving BAFRA official and sometime director of the Association who sadly died in October 2005. In his memory, BAFRA has dedicated an award made to a team that shows commitment to improving the game experience for players and fans, as well as officials. The top-performing teams in the BAFANL 2016 season were as follows: Berkshire Renegades 1.0 Overall winners and Division 2 winners Ipswich Cardinals 1.6 Wembley Stallions 4.6 Lancashire Wolverines 11.4 Premier Division winners Halton Spartans 12.5 Ouse Valley Eagles 15.0 Division 1 winners Cambridgeshire Cats 16.6 Hertfordshire Cheetahs 17.0 Jurassic Coast Raptors 18.6 Bury Saints 18.8 Aberdeen Roughnecks 22.6 Walney Terriers 23.2 Nottingham Caesars 24.8 Essex Spartans 25.6 Dundee Hurricanes 26.6 Humber Warhawks 29.7 Farnham Knights 29.8 Staffordshire Surge 30.4 Colchester Gladiators 31.3 Yorkshire Rams 32.3 Overall in the BAFANL Senior Season, all teams averaged 45.57. Within this, the Premier teams averaged 53.85, Division One teams 40.30 and the Division Two teams 44.91.
