President’s address Dave welcomed all to the 74th AGM, next year being at our 75th anniversary. He mentioned some happenings within our DA during the year: David and Sally Walters having a baby; Mike McGarry completing the Ventoux, the hardest stage in the Tour de France in atrocious conditions; and Roy and Jackie Bailey getting married. Dave congratulated Chris Davies on his marvellous achievement of 50 years of cycling covering over 750,000 miles. Dave thanked all the committee for their hard work and support during the year. He spoke of the benefits of club riding with the CTC, namely the friendship, banter and team spirit and the meeting of marvellous people such as Bill Harmsworth, Lily Fine and Godfrey Joly. 2. Apologies for absence Twenty-nine members and our CTC councillor Brian Morris attended. Apologies were received from Roger and Fiona Pratt and Gwen Harmsworth. 3. Minutes of the previous AGM and any matters arising Dave highlighted the items from the previous minutes for which the required actions had been done. These were: 1) Dave Lambert had included email addresses on the address list, anyone with an email address not included should let Dave know; 2) a letter had been written to the Hampshire and Havant Councils concerning the delays to the Hayling Billy cycle track; and 3) the DA had rejoined the RTTC.
