Permezz tal-kuntratt pubbliku datat 20 ta’ Frar, 1964, By means of a public contract dated 20th February, 1964, fl-atti tan-Nutar Francis Micallef, Mary armla ta’ Joseph in the records of Notary Francis Micallef , Mary widow Caruana Montaldo u l-aħwa Oscar u Walter Caruana of Joseph Caruana Montaldo and the brothers Oscar and Montaldo kkonċedew b’titolu ta’ subemfitewsi perpetwa Walter Caruana Montaldo granted by way of perpetual sub- lil Joseph Zammit, Joseph u Norman Pace, is-segwenti emphyteusis to Joseph Zammit, Joseph and Norman Pace proprjetà: the following property:

On this land, two houses were built; one of them the minnhom id-dar ‘Edelweiss’ proprjetà tar-rikorrenti u li one name ‘Edelweiss’, the house owned by the applicant and Joseph Zammit akkwistaha kollha kemm hi permezz tal- which Joseph Zammit acquired in its entirety through the kuntratt fl-atti tan-Nutar Giuseppe Sammut datat it-3 ta’ contract in the records of Notary Giuseppe Sammut dated 3rd April, 1973. Permezz ta’ dan il-kuntratt, Joseph Zammit April, 1973. By this contract, Joseph Zammit acquired the kiseb ir-rimanenti żewġ terzi tal-fond ‘Edelweiss’ fejn: remaining two thirds of the premises ‘Edelweiss’ whereby:

Jirriżulta mill-kuntratti li l-ammont ta’ Lm64.23,3 It results from the contracts that the amount of sixty ekwivalenti għal €149.64 jikkonsisti mhux f’ċens wieħed four Maltese liri and twenty-three cents and three mills iżda ċens diviżibbli f’numru ta’ subċnus u ċens oriġinali kif (equivalent to €149.64) consists not only of one groundrent ġej: but of a groundrent which is divided into a number of subgroundrents and the original groundrent as follows:
