Three Actors Join Indie Dramedy 'Admissions' 6:39 PM PDT 6/19/2012 by Borys Kit Getty Images Taissa Farmiga and Nicholas Braun Spencer Lofranco, Taissa Farmiga and Nicholas Braun have been cast in the Andy Garcia-Vera Farmiga indie. A trio of young actors have been admitted into Admissions, the indie dramedy starring Andy Garcia and Vera Farmiga. OUR EDITOR RECOMMENDS Vera Farmiga, Andy Garcia to Star in Indie Film 'Admissions' Spencer Lofranco, Taissa Farmiga and Nicholas Braun are joining the movie, which follows a man and woman (Garcia and Farmiga, respectively) who fall in love while taking their children on a college admissions tour. Lofranco will play Garcia’s son while Farmiga will play Vera Farmiga's daughter. (The two are actually sisters with a 21-year age gap between them.) Braun will play an upperclassman who is leading the tour for the prospective incoming freshmen class. The film is written by Glenn German and Adam Rodgers, who is also directing. Production will begin July in Spokane, WA. Film Bridge is handling international sales and the Paradigm Motion Picture Group representing domestic rights. Lofranco, repped by WME and Authentic Talent Management, is a relative newcomer who stars in the upcoming indie drama Jamesy Boy with Mary-Louise Parker and James Woods. Farmiga, repped by ICM and Authentic Talent Management, caught Hollywood’s with her turn on FX's American Horror Story. She next stars in Sofia Coppola’s The Bling Ring and also appears in Jamesy Boy. Braun, repped by WME and manager Adam Levine, Twentieth Century Fox’s The Watch and Summit’s The Perks of Being a Wallflower in the can and is part of the ensemble cast of Friend Me, an upcoming CBS comedy that will air mid-season. .
