Star of Live At The ApolloApollo, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow , Have I Got News for You and Q.IQ.IQ.I is back touring the UK for a limited number of dates this autumn , following a hugely successful spring run .
After being knocked up like a 1950's teenager Shappi missed out 2013, but now she is back and it's forward march with her amazing show ‘Because I’m Shappi...’ . Reflecting on the good things, she celebrates her haphazard, zigzag towards her dreams. She introduces us to friends, family and total strangers who have helped her on her personal Yellow Brick Road.
She has whip-crack jokes and is effortlessly funny as she handles every subject with a razor sharp wit, softened only by her deliciously mischievous delivery and endless charm.
Shappi has notched up numerous high profile television appearances including; Live At The Apollo (BBC ONE), Channel 4’s Comedy Gala At The O2 (Channel 4 – 2010, 2011 & 2012), Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow (BBC ONE), Graham Norton Show (BBC ONE), Have I Got News For You (BBC ONE) and her own Comedy Store Special for Comedy Central. She also had the honour of being nominated at the prestigious British Comedy Awards in the Best Female Comic category up against fellow nominee’s Jo Brand and Sarah Millican. Shappi has also appeared as a panellist on ITV1's Loose Women .
Shappi Khorsandi is also the best-selling author of ‘ A Beginners Guide to Acting English ’ by Bloomsbury out now in paperback.
