Elche Located on the Costa Blanca, 23 km. from the city of Alicante, 62 km. from Benidorm and 170 from Alicante Valencia, founded in the 5th century BC. C., Elche has an urban area full of surprising corners and a Elche Benidorm coastline that stretches along beaches formed by dunes and pine forests in a characteristic Mediterranean landscape, with beaches of transparent waters and fine sand. Its climate, with mild temperatures throughout the year and the wide range of cuisine and culture, make Elche is known as a true "oasis of the Mediterranean", with the attraction of its impressive Palm grove of more than 200,000 palm trees (the largest in Europe ), which has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Accommodation Elche has several hotels with which, prior notice, the E.C.R.U. can make the reservation and arrange competitive prices for you, especially the hotels which are located close to the playing field, so the transfer of the teams can be easier and faster. Transport The connections of Elche with the rest of Spain and Europe are simple and it is carried out by free high-capacity roads, such as the A-7 (parallel route to the coast line from north to south) and the A-31 (which communicates with Madrid and the center of the Peninsula). It also has a train station with direct connection to the Mediterranean and indirect corridor with the peninsula, through the Alicante station, which has a high-speed line that connects to Madrid in just two and a half hours.
