Ted :erfelder, the station's general manager, is retaining all the strong points in the nday thru Friday daytime schedules that match or outdraw the CBS & NBC programs, :th local and net, while striving for something different during WABC-TV's hereto- :re weaker periods. He is reported to have the say on stories, actors and produc- tion staff and will appear on the show as host and narrator. The future schedule for NBC's Colgate Comedy Hour continues the net and agency effort to have fresh and unusual backgrounds for the show. The February 6 program will originate in Hollywood, with the tentative cast including Spike Jones, Nat King Cole, Bobby Van, Paul Gilbert, and , with a remote segment from Tia Juana, Mexico, spotlighting a jai alai game. Guild Films has signed Ina Ray Hutton and her all -girlorchestra for a half-hour =laical variety series of 39 films to be filmed in color.
