  • 2018-2019 Ice Allocation Entitlements
2018 - 2019 Ice Allocation Entitlements The City of Toronto allocates ice time on a priority basis according to group classifications; the Ice Allocation Policy defines this process. Prime Time ice is allocated to the following groups as follows: • Community Youth: 60% • Competitive Youth: 25% • Competitive Junior Hockey: 0.5% • Community Adult: 14% • Commercial: 0.5% The total time allocated to a group in a single season is calculated using the following formula, results are rounded. Weekly Time Allocation (hours) Weekly time allocation is calculated as prime time ice available per week multiplied by the percentage of ice allocated to classification type multiplied by the value of League residents divided by total residents in the category Example: • The total prime time ice available city-wide each week is 2,657 hours. • ABC Hockey League is classified as a Community Youth Group. • Community Youth are allocated 60% of prime time ice according to the Ice Allocation Policy. • ABC Hockey League has a total of 1000 participants on their roster. • 920 participants are residents. • The total number of residents in the Community Youth classification based on applications is 22,270. The formula would be applied as follows: Weekly Time Allocation in Hours to ABC Hockey League 2,657 hrs multiplied by 60% multiplied by [920 residents in ABC Hockey divided by 22,270 Community Youth residents] equals 66 hours The tables below provide the ice allocation entitlements calculated using this formula for all 2018 - 2019 seasonal applicants. Column Definitions: • Res – Total number of Toronto residents submitted on the roster • Non-Res – Total number of non-residents of Toronto submitted on the roster • Total – Total number of participants listed on the roster • Percentage – The percentage of residents on the roster; calculated as Residents divided by Total Participants multiplied by 100% • Formula – Total entitlement of hours allocated to the group each week of the upcoming season.

  • Tigers Split Home-And-Home with Spirit
This page was exported from - The Auroran Export date: Fri Oct 1 21:17:07 2021 / +0000 GMT Tigers split home-and-home with Spirit By Jake Courtepatte A four-point performance over the weekend has the Junior A Aurora Tigers pulling away from the competition in the OJHL's North division. A familiar name found the scoresheet three times in the Tigers' 4 ? 1 win over the struggling Stouffville Spirit on Thursday night, with Joseph Mizzi notching a natural hat trick before the end of the second period. Jack Varga notched the game's opener. Jack Irvine was back between the pipes at home at the Aurora Community Centre the following night after blocking 27 shots, showing some signs of fatigue in the Spirit's 4 ? 3 win. Inserted into the game after a slow start from Christian Filippetti, Irvine and the Tigers' fell behind 3 ? 1 midway through the second period on a bank from in close. Jacob Ball pulled the Tigers back within one on a second rebound early in the third period, though Irvine was fooled just minutes later on a long wrist shot that proved to be the game winner. Captain Steven MacLean capped off the scoring in the game's dying minutes. Sunday's road matchup had the Tigers meeting the new-look Brantford 99ers for the first time, moving to Brantford from their home in Milton as the Icehawks in the offseason. Peppering the Brantford goal with 24 shots in the first period, Aurora took a 3 ? 0 lead before the first buzzer thanks to Michael Palandra, MacKenzie Dobson, and a powerplay marker from Mizzi.
