(Unofficial Translation) Order of the Centre for the Administration of the Situation due to the Outbreak of the Communicable Disease Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) No. 1/2564 Re : COVID-19 Zoning Areas Categorised as Maximum COVID-19 Control Zones based on Regulations Issued under Section 9 of the Emergency Decree on Public Administration in Emergency Situations B.E. 2548 (2005) ------------------------------------ Pursuant to the Declaration of an Emergency Situation in all areas of the Kingdom of Thailand as from 26 March B.E. 2563 (2020) and the subsequent 8th extension of the duration of the enforcement of the Declaration of an Emergency Situation until 15 January B.E. 2564 (2021); In order to efficiently manage and prepare the prevention of a new wave of outbreak of the communicable disease Coronavirus 2019 in accordance with guidelines for the COVID-19 zoning based on Regulations issued under Section 9 of the Emergency Decree on Public Administration in Emergency Situations B.E. 2548 (2005), by virtue of Clause 4 (2) of the Order of the Prime Minister No. 4/2563 on the Appointment of Supervisors, Chief Officials and Competent Officials Responsible for Remedying the Emergency Situation, issued on 25 March B.E. 2563 (2020), and its amendments, the Prime Minister, in the capacity of the Director of the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration, with the advice of the Emergency Operation Center for Medical and Public Health Issues and the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration of the Ministry of Interior, hereby orders Chief Officials responsible for remedying the emergency situation and competent officials to carry out functions in accordance with the measures under the Regulations, for the COVID-19 zoning areas categorised as maximum control zones according to the list of Provinces attached to this Order. -

Thailand’s Progress on the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labor: 2015 1) Prevalence and Sectoral Distribution of Child Labor 1.1 In what sectors or activities were children involved in hazardous activities or other worst forms of child labor? For all sectors, please describe the work activities undertaken by children. In particular, if children were engaged in forestry, manufacturing, construction, fishing, agriculture, and street work, please provide information on the specific activities (within the sector) children engage in. Please also explain the hazards for any sector in which the dangerous nature of the work activities may otherwise be unclear to the lay person (four further explanation, please HAZADOUS ACTIVITIES and WORST FORMS OF CHILD LABOR in the Definitions section). Answer: According to the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Board Thailand witnessed a reduction in the population of children ages 0-17 years from the years 2010-2015. In 2015 there were roughly 14.48 million children between 0-17 years, a reduction compared to 15.42 million in 2010 and 14.86 million in 2013. On the other hand, Thailand found an increase in the number of students enrolled in the national education system, from 4.99 million students enrolled in 2000 up to 5.33 million students in 2013. These factors have contributed to a reduction of working children in the labor force. In this regard, the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare (DLPW) examined quarterly data of Thailand’s labor force status survey1. In the 3rd quarter of 2015, there were 38.77 million people in the labor force or available for work. -

Catalyst ISSN 2408-137X, Volume 18, 2018 A Study of Risk Factors Leading to Road Accidents: Chachoengsao Province, Thailand Thanasak Kulchamorin and Danai Pattaphongse Abstract The objectives of this research were to study: 1) personal factors of automobile drivers in Chachoengsao Province, Thailand in the target population; 2) their driving behavior; 3) risk factors influencing the chance of having an accident; 4) measures used to avoid or reduce the impact of an accident; and 5) their attitudes towards both controllable and uncontrollable driving risks based upon their personal factors. The sample consisted of 400 drivers; statistics used included both descriptive and inferential statistics. The majority of respondents were female, married, 36-40 years of age, bachelor degree graduates, and worked for private enterprises. They had non-permanent driver licenses in their possession for 3-5 years and had 10-20 years driving experience. Their overall attitudes towards controllable risk factors showed high scores on a given rating scale. Among controllable risk factors influencing the chance of having an accident, in descending order of magnitude, were violation of a traffic light, violation of a speed limit, texting while driving, and no signal given to other drivers. Uncontrollable risk factors influencing the chance of having an accident, in descending order of magnitude, were drunk driving, driving on damaged roads, driving when the rate of traffic is high, and driving on narrow roads. Keywords: Risk factors, road accidents Introduction Sivak and Schoettle (2014) studied mortality from road crashes in 193 countries, and found that Thailand ranked #2 in the world in terms of the number of people killed (44 deaths per 100,000 persons) in road accidents after Namibia (45 deaths per 100,000 persons). -

Government Center Water Treatment Plant Kamphaeng Phet Province, Thailand 1. Background information Kamphaeng Phet is a province in the lower north of Thailand. The Ping River (main tributary of the Chao Phraya River) is located at the east of the province, while the west part is mostly mountains covered with forests. Government Center Water Treatment Plant (GCWTP) is owned and operated by the Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA) of Thailand, a state-owned company established in 1979. This water treatment plant is one of the 233 water treatment plants under PWA. The GCWTP was constructed in 2003 with the capacity of 12,000 m3/d. Additional information is presented in Table 1. Water source, the Ping River, is at a distance of 4 km from the water treatment plant. Main components of the treatment process are hydraulic mixing, mechanical sludge collector system, fine sand filter, and water backwash with surface washing. 2. Water treatment process flow The major water treatment unit processes are presented as below (Figure 1): Raw water extraction (Ping river) → Raw water pumping → Pipeline static mixing (alum) and hydraulic jump (pre-chlorination) → Flocculation (baffled channel type) → Sedimentation (rectangular, mechanical sludge collector) → Rapid sand filter → Disinfection (post- chlorination) → Clear Well → High lift pump building Sludge treatment: sludge generated from sedimentation and backwashing is transferred to three ponds. -

CURRENT SITUATION 1.1 Current flooded provinces: there are 14 recent flooded provinces: Sukhothai, Phichit, Phitsanulok, Nakhon Sawan, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Ang Thong, Chai Nat, Ubon Ratchathani, Sing Buri, Nakhon Pathom,, Suphan Buri, Nonthaburi, Uthai Thani and Chacheongsao. The total of 65 Districts, 483 Sub-Districts, 2,942 Villages, 186,045 families and/or 476,775 people are affected by the flood. The total fatalities are 72 deaths and 1 missing. (Fatalities: 1 in Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Uttaradit, Phetchabun, Suphan Buri; 2 in Tak, Nakhon Phanom, Roi Et, and Phang-Nga; 3 in Chiang Mai; 4 in Prachin Buri, Nakhon Sawan; 5 in Phitsanulok; 7 in Mae Hong Son and Sukhothai; 8 in Phrae; and 21 in Phichit: Missing: 1 in Mae Hong Son due to landslide) 1.2 Weather Condition: The active monsoon trough lies over the Central, Northeast and East of Thailand. The strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, southern Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. Torrential rain is likely over upper Thailand and isolated heavy to very heavy falls in the Northeast and the East. People in the low land and the riverside in the Central and the East should beware of flooding during the period.
