The original log book Joyous New Year Crank-Up and The Museum will be hosting a Wheel of Year Wassail at the Museum of Power Celebration of traditional events this year – for further details please visit the Museum‟s Facebook page. The Museum of Power has an exciting year ahead so to start the New Year in glory „Marshall‟, the largest working steam engine in Essex, other steam and power driven machines and the 1920‟s Belt Driven Workshop were cranked-up into action. Alongside the engines, the Wassail traditional folk celebrations started with Yael and Johnny of Random Folk singing traditional songs, enjoyed by the largest audience so far for this annual event. The Dark Horse Morris Dancers, looking superb in their outfits then provided a great performance of traditional dancing, followed by the Soluna Dance Troupe performing an elegant interpretation of festive folk songs.
