Skate Copenhagen 2007 SSkkaattee CCooppeennhhaaggeenn –– 22000077 BBrriieeffiinngg Welcome Hvidovre Skating Club welcomes all entries, their coaches and their relatives to Skate Copenhagen 2007. Figure skaters are coming from Sweden, Norway, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Austria and Denmark. Judges and Technical Staff are coming from Sweden, Norway, Czech Republic and Denmark. We believe that all these people will set the ideal frames for an international figure skating competition in Copenhagen. Hvidovre Skating Club is looking forward to meet you all. In the following, you will find brief description of the “draft” program as wells as some practical information about Skate Copenhagen. Draft P rogram The program starts Friday with practice for all skaters enrolled. The competition starts with the drawing at 16:00, in our Theater Hall, followed by the judges’ meeting at 17:00. At 17:30, Springs and Debs will compete and there will be a ceremony for these two groups Friday evening at 20:50. After the ceremony for Spring and Debs we have arranged a get together (Skate Copenhagen Corner) at 21:30. It is our hope that as many as possible will use this chance to get together outside the competition. Saturday is reserved for the short programs for Novice, Junior and Senior, as well as practice for the free programs. Saturday evening, Skate Copenhagen Gala Evening, in the Theater Hall starts at 19:00 (the dinner starts around 19:30). All skaters and their relatives can make booking for the Gala dinner, by using the “Additional Form” attached with this document. Sunday is reserved for the free programs for Novice, Junior and Senior. There is no practice and the ceremony is planned at 16:45. It is our hope that this brief description of the schedule and all the events during Skate Copenhagen 2007, provides the necessary information for you to continue your planning. On the following pages, you will find some practical information and the draft program, as well as a list of the participants entered and the panel of judges, at Skate Copenhagen 2007. If you should have any questions you are always welcome to contact [email protected] in order to clarify any relevant issue. Hvidovre Skating Club reserves the right to make changes to this briefing without notice. A final program for Skate Copenhagen 2007 will be available on Friday 23 rd March 2007, at the registration. SSkkaattee CCooppeennhhaaggeenn –– 22000077 BBrriieeffiinngg Registration At the main entrance to “Frihedens Idrætscenter”, opposite to Restaurant Halvleg, you will find the registration desk. All skaters and coaches need to make their registration at this point in order to be allowed to enter both the practice and the competition. You can sign up for additional practice at the registration desk, if free slots are available. Practise & Additional Practice There is included practice for the Short programs, Springs and Debs on Friday 23 rd March 2007, and practice for the Free Programs on Saturday 24 th March 2007. Additional practice can be booked on both Friday and Saturday. It is called; “Booked Practice” in the schedules on the following pages. Along with the Gala Evening, you can book additional practice by using the “Additional Form”, attached to this briefing. If the required time slot is occupied your request will be moved to the nearest available slot not conflicting with the obligatory practice of the skater(s). We will of course confirm your booking in advance, by e-mail. Please notice, that booking of additional practice must in Hvidovre Skating Club’s possession latest on March 18th 2007, by e-mail only ( [email protected] ). Please notice that payment for additional practice must be done at the point of registration together with the registration of the skaters. Frihedens Idrætscenter The address of the “Frihedens Idrætscenter” (Frihedens Sport Centre) is Hvidovrevej 446, DK-2650 Hvidovre. Frihedens Idrætscenter is located close to the high way. When coming from the airport or Sweden the exit is “Avedøre Holme”. At the exit turn right, then turn right at the next traffic light (at Gamle Køge Landevej) and turn right at the next traffic light (at Hvidovrevej). After 50 meters, turn right and you will enter the parking area to the skating rink. In the bottom of the parking area, you will find main entrance to Frihedens Idrætscenter and the skating rinks. Hotel Scandic Hvidovre When coming from the airport or Sweden, exit “Avedøre Holme”, turn right, and then drive through the next three traffic lights. At the fourth traffic light turn left and right into the Statoil service station and you can not miss the hotel, which is next to the service station. SSkkaattee CCooppeennhhaaggeenn –– 22000077 BBrriieeffiinngg Gala Evening Please book your seats at the Gala Evening in advance, as this is important for the number of seats we need to book with Restaurant Halvleg. It will only be possible to book seats to the Gala Evening to a limited extend at the registration desk, if possible at all. Dinner The dinner starts at 19:30 and the menu is the following: Starter : Smoked salmon with salad, dressing, bread and butter. Main Course : Fillet of beef and Chicken with cold paste, oven baked potatoes, sauce of red vine, salad, dressing, bread and butter. Dessert : Special made chocolate cake. It is possible to buy vine, beers, soda water etc. At 21:30 the rock and pop band The Will performs for approximately the next 2 hours. Please notice that booking of seats for the Gala Evening must be in Hvidovre Skating Club’s possession latest on March 18th 2007, by e-mail only ( [email protected] ). Please notice that payment for booked seat at the Gala Evening must be done at the point of registration together with the registration of the skaters. Final Program The final program will be available on Friday 23 rd March 2007, at the registration desk. Major changes to this draft program will be mailed to all participating clubs/nations, by e-mail. Terms of Booking ( Additional Form) Please notice that booking seats at the Gala Evening and/or booking of additional practice are considered as binding. The last date to cancel booked seats and cancel or change additional practice is latest on March 18 th 2007 Please notice that you must use the “Additional Form” in order to make your bookings for both the Gala Evening and additional practice (Booked Practice). SU er et utvalg under styret og fungerer som et bindeledd mellom styret, trenere og foreldre. SU skal først og fremst støtte trenerne med langtidsplanlegging og selve driften av klubben. Sportsutvalget har i 2014/2015 sesongen bestått av to personer fra styret og en trener. Sportsutvalget har utarbeidet is-fordelingsplaner og bistår trenerne med gruppeinndeling av løperne samt årsplaner, utarbeider vikarlister for trenere ved behov, vurderer klubbløpere til internasjonale stevner, gjennomfører tester, vurderer trenerkurs og seminarer m.m. SU kan besvare spørsmål fra foresatte. Brazil and the Philippines will be represented for the first time in the figure skating event at Olympic Winter Games. The traditional fall event Nebelhorn Trophy was the ISU designated senior international figure skating qualifying competition as it was in 2009. Australia, Israel, Romania, Philippines, Ukraine, Italy earn Olympic spots for Men Athletes from Australia, Israel, Romania, Philippines, Ukraine and Italy earned the six Olympic spots for Men. Japan’s Nobunari Oda took the gold medal followed by Jason Brown (USA) and Jeremy Ten of Canada. Oda led after the Short Program with an excellent performance to “Cotton Club” that included the only quadruple toeloop of the day (87.34 points). The 26-year-old followed up with a quad-triple toeloop combination as well as seven more triple jumps in his Free Skating to “Wilhelm Tell” (175.64 points) and posted a new personal best total score of 262.98 points. “I was very focused on my first quad and when I landed it I felt relieved.
