CARSON CITY REPUBLICAN WOMEN submitted by Kim Fiegehen, President

Carson City Republican Women started off 2016 with some great luncheon speakers. In January NV State Treasurer spoke on various topics including the education savings and college savings programs, local government investment program, education and jobs. He was very positive about the ESA program but also reminded us of the need for parental involvement in the schools. In February representatives of the presidential candidates spoke for their respective candidates. In addition, NV State Senator described and discussed the caucus process and how it works. Our March luncheon featured NV Assemblywoman Dr. Robin Titus. She spoke in great depth as to why she voted against both the commerce tax and Faraday deal. Our upcoming April luncheon will feature our scholarship candidate finalists and Miranda Hoover, UNR graduate student, Republican and social media expert. Our speakers have been instrumental in increasing our luncheon attendance as well as recruiting new members. In May we will hear from our scholarship winner, as well as host a candidate forum for those running for Assembly District 40. In July we will again hold our Freedom Fest barbecue outdoors at Glen Eagles Restaurant. This is a joint effort co- hosted with Carson City Conservatives. In addition to our monthly luncheons, members volunteer each week serving coffee at the Carson City Senior Center; many members volunteer weekly at the Republican headquarters office; in December we assisted the Salvation Army distribute gifts to local needy families; and, in February we supported the Women’s Auxiliary of the VFW by assisting them in their booth to raise money. Our members also were very instrumental in making the caucus the success it was in both Carson and Lyon counties.

INCLINE VILLAGE/CRYSTAL BAY REPUBLICAN WOMEN submitted by Linda Smith & Carol Del Carlo

Since last year’s NvFRW Convention, a lot has been happening. We are still excited about our 10 th Anniversary. The celebration was great fun! The Incline Village-Crystal Bay Republican women are now 94 members strong, with 18 associate members. We are hosting a mini-debate in April between the two Republican Candidates for Assembly District 26-- and Jason Guinasso. We will also host a Candidate Forum on May 10th for candidates who will appear on our ballot in the June primary and November general elections. Additionally, our Club is focused on voter registration and is holding a series of voter registration drives starting on April 9th. Our goal is to help close the 48,000 gap between the number of registered Democrats and Republicans in the State of Nevada. Presidential candidates and/or their wives have been in NV often, wooing our vote. So many events happening concurrently and it’s only April. Once the state primary and the 2016 GOP National Convention is over, we can campaign for the Republican candidates with gusto. We’ve already been so busy and all the hard work is still before us. Our wish for the Republican Party is that it comes together in unity and works together to beat the Democrats, not each other. It’s time we take back our country!

SIERRA NEVADA REPUBLICAN WOMEN submitted by Pat Smith, President

Sierra Nevada Republican Women enjoyed another successful year with their 19th annual St. Patrick's Day dinner fundraiser in March. We prepared a corned beef dinner and the fixings for our elected officials to serve and had a Pot O' Gold drawing. Along with Senator James Settelmeyer as our auctioneer, we had help from Assemblyman and our Judges, Sheriff, Commissioners and others. (SNRW continued on page 7)

FERNLEY REPUBLICAN WOMEN submitted by Anita Trone

Fernley Republican Women's newest adopted soldier is Victor Joecks. Victor is Executive Vice President at the Nevada Policy Research Institute (NPRI). He is currently on leave from NPRI, as his Army National Guard unit was deployed to Kuwait. Victor needs single serving food items, personal care items and, most especially, cards and letters from home. Victor is a special friend to the FRW and the NvFRW, so if you would like to help us support Victor, send your personal note or financial contribution to the FRW at P. O. Box 412, Fernley, Nevada 89408.

Editor's Note: The NvFRW club membership is very familiar with Victor and what he has done for NPRI. If your club would like to join with Fernley's efforts, or go forth individually, I am sure Victor

would greatly appreciate it.

SOUTHERN HILLS REPUBLICAN WOMEN submitted by Lynn Armanino, President

The February Caucus kept SHRW members busy. Like everywhere else in the country the turn- out was spectacular. We set up our boutique at one of the Caucus sites and recruited new members. The day of the Caucus was also our luncheon and Jeb Bush had originally requested to be our guest. Wouldn’t you know he’d drop out of the race three days prior to the scheduled event! We scrambled and got the Texas Lt. Gov., Dan Patrick with the Cruz campaign, to speak and Jr. showed up for photo ops. Between the day and night boutiques, a record amount of merchandise was sold, $800. Stunned! In January SHRW donated large game tables and large formatted games, such as self-contained basketball cages, to The Boys & Girls Clubs of Las Vegas at the Ralph and Betty Engelstad Clubhouse. We are fortunate to be able to do something for children in our community. Also in early March SHRW donated 10 rugs to Veterans Village. Veterans Village provides housing and assistance to homeless veterans to help them integrate back into society. This is becoming one of SHRW’s favorite local veterans’ organizations. Our thanks to member Heather Stamer who made this

all happen. (SHRW continued on page 7)

Mesquite hosted nine Precinct meetings, including seven for Mesquite and one each for Bunkerville and Moapa. Mesquite Republicans started to line up at 4:00PM, one hour before the doors opened. The initial wait time for check-in was about 45 minutes. After 6:30 the wait time was no more than 15 minutes. Mesquite had a 19-percent voter turnout -- double what we've had in the past. Those who wanted to become delegates at the County, State & potentially National Convention attended their Precinct meeting. Volunteers stood near the ballots at all times & helped answer voter questions. Many were first time participants in the Caucus the new Republican process of "Vote & Go" for the Presidential Preference Poll. Many commented that it was painless once they checked in at their precinct desk to

get a ballot. The state reported 100% around 2:00AM. The final report was issued from inside the war room. It was then up to the RNC in the War Room to process your results and get them to the press.

WASHOE REPUBLICAN WOMEN submitted by Kathie Dixon

Washoe Republican Women has a reputation of being active in all things Republican. They walk precincts, answer phones, gather voter registrations, work in the GOP office, host candidates in their homes and prepare packets for the caucus and precinct walks. This year WRW recognized some members that have gone above and beyond. Those members recognized at the March Luncheon are from left to right: Margaret McIssac, Georgia Navarro, Phyllis Westrup (co-presidents Carolyn Campobasso and Kathie Dixon, presenting) Ruth Ann Schwarze and Kim Bacchus. Thank you to these ladies. For it is volunteers like you that helped to make our caucus a great success. The Ladies received tickets for the "Wine and Victory Reception for the RWNN PAC.

SNRW continued from page 4 It is a great opportunity for our community to enjoy a great meal and get to know the elected officials along with those running for office this year. Our club is a PAC and all our profits go to Republican candidates. During the last election cycle we donated over $10,000 and we expect to surpass that this year. We are already gearing up for our 20th anniversary next year.

SHRW continued from page 5 On March 12 th many SHRW members marched in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade with: Congressman Dr. , candidate to replace Harry Reid, as our federal state senator; Henderson Constable Earl Mitchell; marching was SHRW member Carrie Buck-candidate for State Senate District 5 against Democrat Joyce Woodhouse; and Judge to name a few. There was even a Pahrump RW member marching with us. We loved having a sister club member. April 26 th SHRW is hosting a Town Hall with CD-3 candidates moderated by Alan Stock, a well-known and favorite talk show host on KXNT radio. (CD-3 is Congressman Dr. Joe Heck’s current position.) We anticipate a sold-out luncheon meeting requiring taking over the restaurant as well. Should be one of our larger venues.
