Food and drinks will be provided. Dress is casual. MONDAY MAY 23 09:00 to 10:15 – Yoga with Airlie Ellsworth Airlie’s focus is on developing breath and body awareness through mindful movement. She pairs philosophical or anatomical themes with yoga techniques to help guide her students through challenging, creative and fun sequences. COST: $15 per person 2 Canadian Society of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery Spring, 2011 – Issue 10 MONDAY MAY 23 12:15 – Whale & Wildlife Watching This Prince of Whales 12-man Zodiac boat tour will get you up close to the plentiful marine wildlife in Victoria Inner Harbour and the open waters of the Pacific. Tour will be guided by certified naturalists. Please remember to dress very warmly. Dock is located within walking distance of the Empress Hotel. This activity is not suitable for children under the age of 7 years. COST: $94 per adult / $85 per student (13-17 yrs.) / $76 per child (7-12 yrs.) MONDAY MAY 23 Delegates‟ Free Evening / World‟s Greatest Automobiles In lieu of an organized fundraising event for the COHNS Fund, attendees will have a free evening to enjoy family, friends, alumni and other activities. For those interested, delegates will have the opportunity to spend an evening in the company of one of North America’s premier vintage car restorers. Visit his facility and stroll amidst fabulous examples of bygone Mercedes / Ferraris and other world- famous cars. This event LIMITED to 30 people. Bus will leave Empress at 18:30. COST: $20 per person (for bus transportation) TUESDAY MAY 24 09:15 – Butchart Gardens Tour This will be a guided tour of the flowers and foliage of Butchart Gardens, one of the world’s premier floral show gardens. Lunch will be served at their restaurant on site. Buses will return to the Empress Hotel at 14:00. COST: $95 per adult / $82 per student (13-17 yrs.) / $37 per child (7-12 yrs.) TUESDAY MAY 24 19:15 – President‟s Banquet Dale Brown and his wife Catherine cordially invite you to join them for cocktails and dinner on Tuesday evening at the historical Crystal Gardens, located directly across the street from the Victoria Conference Centre. Dress is formal. Black tie is optional. A children’s room at the Empress Hotel will be available for those who require childcare. MONDAY & TUESDAY, MAY 23 & 24 08:00 to 10:00 – Hospitality Suite A continental breakfast will be served each morning for the spouses and companions in the Tea Lobby of the Empress Hotel. Yoga with Airlie Ellsworth is scheduled for Monday, May 23rd 09:00-10:15 at the Empress Hotel. This year security will be in place to ensure that all delegates are registered and wearing their name badge. Those who do not comply will be denied access to the meeting rooms and exhibits area. This group was formed at the Niagara AGM last year to provide leadership, guidance and support to those members who are interested in international surgery projects. To date, 36 individuals from across the country have shown interest in participating in this initiative. The agenda will be to develop the terms of reference for the group. At the Victoria Annual Meeting… The University of Manitoba will once again host an alumni reception on Monday May 23 in the Library at the Fairmont Empress Hotel.
