It's been about four years since the last recording of the series, but Super Smash Bros. is finally back And Smash Ultimate is the exclusive Nintendo hybrid portable console, The Switch. So you don't have to decide between the portable version on 3DS and the home console console on the big screen. It's really a complete package, no matter where you decide to play. And we really mean complete. Smash Ultimate contains 74 different playable fighters at launch. This includes every previous character from previous Smash games and a bunch of fresh faces - including the long-awaited Ripley and the pre-order bonus Piranha Factory. It's not even including a plethora of upcoming DLC characters, help trophies, random Pokemon, and more. There's so much out there that no normal person can track everything. That's why we've compiled a guide for each character in Smash Ultimate! This particular guide, if you don't yet suspect it's all about the big donkey kong monkey. He... not everything that is different from its incarnations before Smash Ultimate. He's still bruised with incredible injuries. In fact, its biggest change involves a particularly devastating Final Smash. According to the official description of Nintendo Donkey Kong... His charged kick is one of the strongest attacks in the game! In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, his Final Smash has been updated from Konga Beat to a flurry of beats! Moves Giant Kick (B) - Charges a punch that can keep charging after dodging or shielding. Headbutt (Side and B) - Buries opponents when they hit the ground. There can be no interrupted by weaker attacks. Spinning Kong (Up and B) - Spins with a whirlwind of strokes. Can shift left or right during airborne and forward while grounded. Hand Slap (down and B) - sends shock waves, slapping the ground, sending enemies into the air. It has a meteor effect during airborne operations. Jungle Rush (Final Smash) - Donkey Kong pummels opponents with a flurry of punches before starting them with an uppercut finish. If the first blow is not tied, the entire attack fails, so make sure to get that inch Strong and Weak Side Strengths DK brings pain to Ultimate with a tried and true arsenal of powerhouse moves. Ground pound, hay swing for fences, ding-dong, it's all here. If you've ever wanted to literally slam fools, Donkey Kong is your boy. The weaknesses of being a big boy has its drawbacks, however. You have a lot more purpose, especially in a frenzied few people are curly, and he has some trouble getting back on stage once he has been knocked down. The DK player wants to control the match, so don't let speedsters set the pace on you. Change Donkey Kong has a new final smash! Jungle Rush throws one punch. If it lands, the DK will follow up with a flurry of quicker punches before launching an opponent with one final smack. Clothes And that's all we know about the king of the jungle, for now! Of course how well you actually handle Donkey Kong in battle is up to you. Just knocking on the ground and charging up super punches only you so far. There's still quite a lot to learn about all and outs of Smash Ultimate outside of this one character. So be sure to check out the rest of the Fanbyte Smash Ultimate guide and step-by-step guides - from single-player hints to vital multiplayer tactics. More than anything, however, make sure you play the characters you enjoy the most. All of our Smash Ultimate guidebooks are created with the help of Eric Van Allen. CEO, Nintendo of America 1 I -l Kamitoba-hokotate-cho, Minami-ku Kyoto 60 I -850 I Japan Dear Mr. Iwata, Oasis, a private investment fund management company, is an advisor to entities that are the beneficial owners of shares of Nintendo Co. Ltd. I am following up on my letter to you dated June I1,2013, in which Iwrote to you that as both customers and shareholders, Oasis would like to see Nintendo develop and sell games for the iOS and Android platforms, and that as shareholders, we look forward to participating in your current business and your future success. I was prompted to write this follow up, open letter to you after analyzing Facebook's purchase of WhatsApp for $19 billion. We believe that Facebook's decision demonstrates the value placed on maintaining supremacy in the Iimited pool of mobile social interaction. lt is the battle for consumer attention on the smartphone. According to media repofts, users in many countries spend up to 25o/o of their time on smaftphones using WhatsApp. As the holder of what is arguably the largest library of casual games, Nintendo is well placed to make an immediate entry into mobile. Adapting the Nintendo library for smartphones could profoundly alter the complexion of the "attention share" currently occupied by Facebook, WhatsApp, and mobile games developers. The same people who spent hours playing Super Mario, Donkey Kong, and Legend of Zelda as children are now a demographic whose engagement on the smartphone is valued by the market at well over $100 billion if we look at the aggregate value of all companies competing for attention on mobile.

  • Super Mario 64 Was Proclaimed by Many As "The Greatest Video Game
The People Behind Mario: When Hiroshi Yamauchi, president of Nintendo Co., Ltd. (NCL), hired a young art student as an apprentice in 1980, he had no idea that he was changing video games forever. That young apprentice was none other than the highly revered Shigeru Miyamoto, the man behind Mario. Miyamoto provided the inspiration for each Mario game Nintendo produces, as he still does today, with the trite exception of the unrelated “Mario-based” games produced by other companies. Just between the years 1985 and 1991, Miyamoto produced eight Mario games that went on to collectively sell 70 million copies. By record industry standards, Miyamoto had gone 70 times platinum in a brief six years. When the Nintendo chairman Gunpei Yokoi was assigned to oversee Miyamoto when he was first hired, Yokoi complained that “he knows nothing about video games” (Game Over 106). It turned out that the young apprentice knew more about video games than Yokoi, or anyone else in the world, ever could. Miyamoto’s Nintendo group, “R&D4,” had the assignment to come up with “the most imaginative video games ever” (Game Over 49), and they did just that. No one disagrees when they hear that "Shigeru is to video gaming what John Lennon is to Music!" (www.nintendoland.com) As soon as Miyamoto and Mario entered the scene, America, Japan, and the rest of the world had become totally engrossed in “Mario Mania.” Before delving deeply into the character that made Nintendo a success, we must first take a look at Nintendo, and its leader, Hiroshi Yamauchi.

Fridays will be broken into two sessions. The first will take place in W866 where we will discuss particular genres and look at select examples. The second session will take place in W560 and will consist of hands-on gameplay (1 hour) of the games covered earlier in class. Some Rules for W560 Usage: 1. Please be considerate of others in the lab and those working in adjacent offices/classrooms by keeping noise to a minimum, 2. Please note that food and drink are not allowed in W560, except water if it is contained in a non-spillable container (with a screw-top or sealable cap) 3. Only students with official access are allowed in these labs (you cannot bring friends into the lab, sorry), 4. Notes on Gameplay Sessions in W560: Please keep the volume of the monitors and verbalizations to a minimum. Have a look at each of the games listed for that week’s gameplay sessions by consulting reviews/criticism, gameplay video, screenshots. As many games are released on multiple platforms and are often emulated, make sure you are viewing information for the correct version (platform, year).

DK Timeline By Banzai Bill Before Donkey Kong Jr. was born, the fierce pirate Prince Skurvy stole a magical emblem known as the Crystal Coconut and hid it in the idol of the Inka Dinka Doo,1 located on Kongo Bongo Island in the Kremisphere.2 Prince Skurvy intended the Crystal Coconut to be for his descendants,3 this but little did he know that someone else would stumble upon the power source in the distant future… Many years later, Donkey Kong Sr. and his wife Wrinkly Kong raised their infant son Donkey Kong Jr.4 Their son turned out to be a Star Child, possessive of an extraordinary amount of power and destined for great things.5 One day, an intruder from another time paid a visit to the Kongs. He was actually the adult form of Donkey Kong Jr. Inspired by Mario's ability to summon his baby self to participate in sporting events, Donkey Kong agreed to use Mario's Time Machine to do the same. As a result, Baby Donkey Kong played a series of baseball games with a bunch of strangers in the future.6 After they finished playing, Baby Donkey Kong was mistakenly clumped with Baby Mario and company back onto Mario's Time Machine. Consequently, Baby Donkey Kong was sent back to the wrong time period of a younger generation. While in this phase, some unknown apes took in the abandoned baby ape. Their aid would be short-lived, as the future Kamek would end up capturing him in his plot to use the Star Children to help the future King Bowser Koopa take over the universe.
