Radiopodlasie.pl Wygenerowano w dniu 2021-09-25 10:49:22 Kto wejdzie do PE? Karol Karski, Krzysztof Jurgiel, Adam Bielan, Zbigniew Kuźmiuk, Elżbieta Kruk i Beata Mazurek(PiS), Tomasz Frankowski, Jarosław Kalinowski i Krzysztof Hetman (KE)- najprawdopodobniej wejdą do Parlamentu Europejskiego. Zgodnie z sondażem, w okręgu obejmującym Pomorze dwa mandaty zdobyła Koalicja Europejska (Magdalena Adamowicz oraz najprawdopodobniej Janusz Lewandowski), a jeden Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (najprawdopodobniej Anna Fotyga).

  • Question D'europe N°322
th th 20 October 2015 BREXIT: What Fair Deal between UK and EU Member States? Thierry CHOPIN INTRODUCTION : Christian LEQUESNE (eds) UK's relationship with the European Union has never been a bed of roses. In 1975, barely two years after joining, Harold Wilson’s Labour government consulted the British population by referendum asking them whether they wanted to remain in the European Community. At that time 67% answered “yes”. For the 42 years of membership, taking part in Europe has, for most British governments, comprised preventing Europe’s institutions from having too much power and negotiating exemptions and derogations to protect national sovereignty. In 2015 this has led to a UK that has managed to escape both from the single currency and the Schengen Agreements on the free movement of people. There are three areas in which the UK has made a strong contribution to the European Union without playing a wild-card: the creation of the internal market, enlargement and defence. The British have always felt comfortable with a European Union defined as a vast market, but much less so with one of political union. Since a market can never exist without regulation the governments in London have accepted however, whether they have liked it or not, for the European Union to regulate trade, financial services and capital. Hence enlargements have often been viewed as positive extensions to the market. Since UK, along with France, are the only ones to have an army that can project itself outside of the European Union, it has been able to make a significant contribution to European Defence without committing strongly to the institutionalisation of a European Defence Policy, which might have competed against NATO.

DIRECTORATE GENERAL FOR INTERNAL POLICIES POLICY DEPARTMENT FOR CITIZENS' RIGHTS AND CONSTITUTIONAL AFFAIRS CONSTITUTIONAL AFFAIRS Brexit and the European Union: General Institutional and Legal Considerations STUDY Abstract This study was requested by the Committee on Constitutional Affairs of the European Parliament. It examines the political and institutional steps taken, or to be taken, both by the UK and by the EU in the context of the Brexit referendum vote, and into how matters may evolve in the coming months and years from a legal and institutional perspective. It analyses, in broad terms, the possibilities for a future relationship between the Union and its departing member and the consequences that the departure of a large Member State may entail for the rest of the policies of the Union and for the Union itself. The study also briefly examines the potential for institutional progress that opens with the departure of the United Kingdom. Institute for the Study of Civil Society The Eurosceptic’s 55 Tufton Street, London, SW1P 3QL Tel: 020 7799 6677 Email: [email protected] Web: www.civitas.org.uk Handbook 50 live issues in the Brexit debate he Brexit debate that has taken hold of the country is one of the Michael Burrage The Eurosceptic’s Handbook defining issues of our time. The outcome of the EU referendum in T June will have ramifications that will be felt for generations to come. But the discussion is curiously one-sided. The polls show that the British people are fairly evenly split between those who would stay and those who would leave – and very few would give the present arrangement a ringing endorsement. Yet all the resources of government and big business have been thrown behind an information campaign designed to ensure the UK remains a member of the EU at all costs. The Eurosceptic’s Handbook tries to help rebalance the debate, and arm those with doubts about the EU with the counter-arguments they need to make an objective judgement. Michael Burrage, whose previous Civitas publications have earned praise for overturning the received wisdom about the EU’s supposed trade benefits, here takes a broader look at the pros and cons of EU membership. Standing back from the spin and hyperbole of Project Fear, Burrage surveys the evidence from Britain’s involvement with Brussels since it joined the European Economic Community in 1973. He exposes the flaws in the arguments that have been made along the way for Britain’s continued membership.

  • Mr Josep Borrell Fontelles Rasa Jukneviëienè
Brussels, 28 January 2021 Mr Josep Borrell Fontelles High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Vice- President of the European Commission Dear High Representative, We have recently learned about your intention to visit Moscow in the beginning of February. Although we welcome your efforts to improve the relations between the European Union and the Russian Federation, we do not find this particular moment to be well chosen for the first visit of the EU's top diplomat to Moscow since 2017. We share the concern of a number of EU Foreign Affairs ministers that, considering the current situation in Russia, your visit will most probably be used for internal propaganda purposes. With the poisoning of Mr Navalny and his recent arrest, followed by a violent crackdown on massive protests in his defence and in defence of a democratic Russia that took place throughout the country last weekend, the regime revealed its cynicism and brutality. Y our visit in Russia now will send an ambiguous signal to those who had the courage to take to the streets a couple of days ago. Should you nevertheless decide to keep your plan unchanged, we, as the Members of the European Parliament, would urge you or other members of your delegation to meet with Mr Navalny's entourage in order to send a political signal of EU's disapproval of Mr Putin's treatment of his opponents. This would also be a precious message of hope sent from the European Union to the Russian people and human rights defenders in this country.
