When properly conducted, the population census provides the basic information necessary for determining eligibility for compensation and for preparing and implementing Abbreviated or full Resettlement Action Plan (A/RAP). Compensation Payment in cash or in kind for an asset or a resource that is acquired or affected by a project at the time the asset needs to be replaced1. Cut-off Date The date the census and assets inventory of persons affected by the project
