3 SCHOOL OF THEATRE Acting and theater education helps students academically, especially in the areas of reading comprehension, narrative writing, reasoning, memorization, and social interaction. Theater is not only fun, it’s practical! In our program, students are progressively trained in improvisation, speech, movement exercises, scene work, and acting theory. Actors benefit from several years at each level in order to achieve skill mastery and confidence. Each year, new exercises and scenes are incorporated so the classes are always fun, exciting, and challenging for young actors!

IMPROVISATIONAL ACTING AGES 12+ Improvisational theatre is an incredibly fun and skill building experience! Students will begin to develop a sketch on the spot from just a few audience suggestions. This class focuses on teamwork and quick thinking. Learn how to create entertainment from scratch! STORYFINDERS-AGES 6-8 South Location: Fridays 4:30-5:30 (Sept. 13-May 29) Cedar Creek Location: Mondays 5:15-6:15 (Sept. 9-May 18) 1 hr/week Storyfinders helps beginning actors discover the beauty of story as they explore worthy literature together and then retell these wondrous stories all while developing basic acting skills such as stage presence, projection, movement, and memorization. This class is a delightful introduction to the world of theatre!

STORYTELLERS - AGES 9-14 - South Location: Fridays 5:30-6:30 (Sept. 13-May 29) 1 hr/week This class progresses through basic acting skills culminating in performances of classic tales. The primary focus is on public presence, vocal clarity, and expressiveness. STORYMAKERS: Cedar Creek Location: Mondays 4:15-5:15 (Sept. 9-May 18) 1 hr/week This class studies and employs the elements of creating and performing their own scripts! Becoming a good writer is a life-long skill!

THEATRE CORPS Ages 13-18 Thursdays 4:30-5:45 p.m. (Sept. 12-May 28) South Location 1 theatre tuition unit (1.25 hrs/week) This class has become a Greenleaf favorite among our teens! Everyone has the opportunity to portray multiple characters with classic sketches! The way to become a great actor is to simply do a lot of acting! In Theater Corps, the primary focus is not elaborate sets or costume but rather the development of solid acting technique. We also practice conversation and job interview skills. TUITION, REGISTRATION, COSTUME, EVEN PAYMENT AND MEMBERSHIP DETAILS

Payment Plans: Based on total number of classes and divided evenly and do not vary during holiday months. Payment for the term must be made with preauthorized credit/debit card payments or postdated checks at the time of registration. There is a $10 per class per student registration fee. Registration fees will NOT exceed $50 per family.

Dance costume/recital administrative fees: $65 per student, per costume and must be paid in full at time of enrollment in a separate payment from the tuition fees. Checks and debit or credit cards accepted. Admission to Performances: Additional for all audience members.
