Production is booming, and r&d money is growing as automakers seek advanced equipment to boost fuel economy, connect cars to the Internet and improve safety. So the good cheer flowed last week at the 20th annual Automotive News PACE Awards ceremony in Detroit. The awards honor supplier innovation.
