Secured Bonds due 2042 Issue price: 99.052 per cent. The £200,000,000 4.75 per cent. Secured Bonds due 2042 (the Bonds) are issued by Great Places Housing Group Limited (the Issuer). Application has been made to the Financial Services Authority in its capacity as competent authority (the UK Listing Authority) under Part VI of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (FSMA) for the Bonds to be admitted to the Official List of the UK Listing Authority (the Official List) and for the Bonds to be admitted to trading on the Professional Securities Market (the Professional Securities Market) regulated by the London Stock Exchange plc (the London Stock Exchange). The Professional Securities Market is not a regulated market for the purposes of Directive 2004/39/EC. Admission to the Official List together with admission to trading on the Professional Securities Market constitute official listing on the London Stock Exchange. Subject as set out below, the net proceeds from the issue of the Bonds, or (in the case of £50,000,000 in principal amount of the Bonds (the Retained Bonds) which will be immediately purchased by the Issuer on the Issue Date (as defined below)) the net proceeds of the sale of the Bonds to a third party, will be advanced by the Issuer to Great Places Housing Association (the Borrower) pursuant to a bond loan agreement between the Borrower and the Issuer to be dated on or around the Issue Date (the Loan Agreement) to be applied in accordance with the Borrower's charitable objects. The Original Commitment (as defined in the Loan Agreement) may be drawn in one or more drawings, each in a principal amount up to an amount which corresponds to the sum of (i) the Minimum Value of the Initial Properties (as defined below) and (ii) the Minimum Value of any additional Properties (as defined below) which have been charged in favour of the Issuer and the Security Trustee (as defined below) (the Additional Properties) less the principal amount of all previous drawings in respect of the Original Commitment. For so long as insufficient security has been granted by the Borrower in favour of the Issuer and the Security Trustee to permit the drawing of the Original Commitment in full or the Borrower has not otherwise drawn any part of the Original Commitment, the amount of the Original Commitment that remains undrawn shall (subject, in the case of any portion of the Original Commitment which is to be funded by a sale of Retained Bonds, to receipt by the Issuer of the net sale proceeds thereof) be retained in a charged account (the Initial Cash Security Account) of the Issuer in accordance with the terms of the Account Agreement (and may be invested in Permitted Investments (as defined below)) (the Retained Proceeds). For the avoidance of doubt, in the event that the Borrower has not drawn any part of the Original Commitment on the Issue Date, the Retained Proceeds at that date shall be the entire amount of the Original Commitment (less any amount which is to be funded by a sale of Retained Bonds). Any Retained Proceeds (and any net sale proceeds from a sale by the Issuer of Retained Bonds (less any Retained Bond Premium Amount (as defined below)) shall be advanced to the Borrower at a later date pursuant to the Loan Agreement to the extent that Properties of a corresponding value have been charged in favour of the Issuer and, if applicable, subject to the sale by the Issuer of Retained Bonds. Interest on the Bonds is payable semi-annually in arrear in equal instalments on 22nd April and 22nd October in each year at the rate of 4.75 per cent. per annum, commencing on 22nd April, 2013, as described in Condition 7 (Interest). Payments of principal of, and interest on, the Bonds will be made without withholding or deduction on account of United Kingdom taxes unless required by law. In the event that any such withholding or deduction is so required, the Issuer may opt to gross up payments due to the Bondholders in respect thereof as described in Condition 10 (Taxation). The Bonds may be redeemed at any time upon the prepayment by the Borrower of the loan (the Loan) in accordance with the terms of the Loan Agreement at the higher of their principal amount and an amount calculated by reference to the sum of (i) the yield on the relevant outstanding United Kingdom government benchmark gilt having the nearest maturity date to that of the Bonds and (ii) 0.20 per cent., together with accrued interest (or, in respect of a prepayment of the Loan following an event of default thereunder, at their principal amount, together with accrued interest). The Bonds will also be redeemed in full at their principal amount, plus accrued interest, in the event of a mandatory prepayment of the Loan following the Borrower ceasing to be a Registered Provider of Social Housing (other than if the Borrower regains its status as a Registered Provider of Social Housing within 180 days), the Loan becoming repayable as a result of a Borrower Default (as defined in the Loan Agreement) or any withholding or deduction on account of United Kingdom taxes being required and the Issuer not opting to pay (or having so opted to pay having notified the Bond Trustee (as defined below) of its intention to cease to pay) additional amounts in respect of such withholding or deduction.

    Greater Manchester Green Belt: Additional Assessment of Sites Outside of the Green Belt Study Background In 2016, LUC was commissioned on behalf of the ten Greater Manchester Authorities by Manchester City Council to undertake an assessment of the Green Belt within Greater Manchester. The study provided an objective, evidence-based and independent assessment of how Manchester’s Green Belt contributes to the five purposes of Green Belt, as set out in paragraph 80 of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) (see Box 1 below). The original assessment also examined the performance of 58 potential additional areas of land that currently lie outside the Green Belt. Box 1: The purposes of Green Belt 1. To check the unrestricted sprawl of large built-up areas. 2. To prevent neighbouring towns merging into one another. 3. To assist in safeguarding the countryside from encroachment. 4. To preserve the setting and special character of historic towns. 5. To assist in urban regeneration, by encouraging the recycling of derelict and other urban land. In 2018, LUC were commissioned to undertake an assessment of 32 additional areas of land that do not lie within the Manchester Green Belt, to assess how they perform against the NPPF Green Belt purposes. The additional areas were identified by the authorities of Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport and Wigan. The assessment was undertaken using the same assessment methodology used for the 2016 study which is detailed in Chapter 3 of the Greater Manchester Green Belt Assessment (July 2016). This methodology is not repeated here but as per the original study it involved both a desked based assessment and field visits to all of the areas of land.

    GREATER MANCHESTER CANALS HERITAGE PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT Revised 2014 21.5.14 1 Review- 21/05/2014 Greater Manchester Canals Heritage Partnership Agreement EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The Greater Manchester Canals Heritage Partnership Agreement (HPA) is intended to improve the management of heritage assets upon the various Canal & River Trust (CRT) canals situated within the Greater Manchester area. It is intended that the HPA, which brings together the principles of existing CRT heritage guidance and processes will provide reassurance for local planning authorities (LPA’s) and stakeholders that works of repair are completed to a high conservation standard. The canals within Greater Manchester are a multi-designated historic environment that contains high value heritage assets. These assets include archaeological remains, working heritage, listed buildings and conservation areas and are subject to ongoing development and maintenance. The HPA is designed to reduce bureaucracy, save time on consent procedures and embed effective heritage management within the corporate culture of CRT by increasing both accountability and self-regulation. The HPA is based around a traffic light system of agreed works that are categorised in terms of requiring consent (red) or clearance (amber) or are permitted works (green). The partners of the Greater Manchester Canals HPA are: Canal & River Trust (the main landowner), English Heritage, Bolton Council, Bury Metropolitan Borough Council, Manchester City Council, Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council, Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council, Salford City Council, Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council, Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council, Wigan Council and the Greater Manchester Archaeological Advisory Service (GMAAS). The HPA will run for a period of five years and shall be subject to annual monitoring and review by the partners, with the potential for further extension at the discretion of the partners.

I made a note of it because it was local to me as I lived in Diggle at the time. I filed it away (a euphemism for shoved it in a drawer !!). 23rd July 1904 “Virago Armed with a Table Knife An exciting scene in Uppermill on Monday week was subsequently dwelt upon at Wednesday’s police court. William BUCKLEY, carpet manufacturer, of Uppermill, was the complainant in a charge of assault preferred against Emily SCHOFIELD, a respectably dressed woman, in the condition of life known as middle-aged. Mr G.F. TANNER, solicitor, appeared on the complainant’s behalf. — The latter, in his evidence, said that in the forenoon of the 11th inst. He was going from his workshop down Moorgate street, when he saw the defendant coming out of her own home in a drunken condition. She jumped down from the house flags and struck him several times in the face.
