Müller in un’intervista a commento delle elezioni europee, sul "Corriere della Sera" del 28 maggio, in linea con l’acuta analisi del professor Sergio Belardinelli nel precedente post di Settimo Cielo. Perché in effetti le alte gerarchie cattoliche, con in testa papa Francesco (vedi la copertina de “L’Espresso”), non si sono risparmiate nel far politica alla vigilia delle elezioni, specie in Italia, non tanto schierandosi apertamente “per” qualche determinato partito, ma inequivocabilmente schierandosi “contro” uno di essi, la Lega. Con quali risultati? Attenendoci ai nudi dati elettorali, con risultati diametralmente opposti alle aspettative. Basta scorrere le località che hanno dato i natali ai cardinali italiani più illustri e vicini a Jorge Mario Bergoglio, per registrare che anche lì la Lega ha stravinto, con percentuali di voti oscillanti tra il 40 e il 60 per cento. È accaduto così a Marradi, in provincia di Firenze, dove è nato il cardinale Gualtiero Bassetti, presidente della conferenza episcopale italiana. Idem a Schiavon, in provincia di Vicenza, paese natale del cardinale Pietro Parolin, segretario di Stato. E così a Barga, in provincia di Lucca, dove è nato il cardinale Lorenzo Baldisseri, segretario generale del sinodo dei vescovi. E ancora in queste altre località: 1 Pieve di Soligo, in provincia di Treviso, terra natale del cardinale Beniamino Stella, prefetto della congregazione per il clero, ascoltatissimo da Bergoglio; Foglizzo, in provincia di Torino, dove è nato il cardinale Giuseppe Bertello, governatore della Città del Vaticano e membro del consiglio dei sei cardinali che coadiuvano Francesco nel governo della Chiesa universale; Casarano, in provincia di Lecce, paese natale del cardinale Angelo De Donatis, vicario del papa per la diocesi di Roma; Brisighella, in provincia di Ravenna, dove è nato il cardinale Achille Silvestrini, membro illustre di quel club di San Gallo che ha propiziato l’elezione di Bergoglio a papa; Romano Canavese (Torino), Villarboit (Vercelli) e Parodi Ligure (Alessandria), dove sono nati rispettivamente i cardinali Tarcisio Bertone, ex segretario di Stato, e i suoi protetti Giuseppe Versaldi e Domenico Calcagno, anch’essi tra i più ascoltati da papa Francesco; San Severino Marche (Macerata), Ascoli Piceno, Galbiate (Lecco), San Giuliano Milanese (Milano) e Villafranca (Verona), terre natali rispettivamente dei cardinali Edoardo Menichelli, segretario di Silvestrini e poi arcivescovo di Ancona, Giuseppe Petrocchi, arcivescovo dell’Aquila, Renato Corti, vescovo emerito di Novara, Francesco Coccopalmerio, già presidente del pontificio consiglio per i testi legislativi, e Mario Zenari, nunzio apostolico in Siria; La Lega ha trionfato anche nelle località di nascita di porporati estranei alla cerchia di Francesco, come Malgrate (provincia di Lecco, cardinale Angelo Scola), Merate (provincia di Lecco, cardinale Gianfranco Ravasi), Foligno (Perugia, cardinale Giuseppe Betori), Sassuolo (provincia di Modena, cardinale Camillo Ruini), Arcevia (provincia di Ancona, cardinale Elio Sgreccia), Todi (provincia di Perugia, cardinale Ennio Antonelli). Ma la lista non è ancora completa. Vi si devono aggiungere infatti le località di nascita, tutte con la Lega primo partito, dei cardinali Angelo Sodano (Isola d’Asti, Asti), Giovanni Battista Re (Borno, Brescia), Paolo Sardi (Ricaldone, Alessandria), Giovanni Lajolo (Novara), Severino Poletto (Salgareda, Treviso), Agostino Cacciavillan (Valdagno, Vicenza), Angelo Comastri (Sorano, Grosseto), Sergio Sebastiani (Montemonaco, Ascoli Piceno), Salvatore De Giorgi (Vernole, Lecce), Raffaele Farina (Buonalbergo, Benevento), Paolo Romeo, (Acireale, Catania). La Lega ha inoltre trionfato nei paesi natali di Giovanni XXIII, di Paolo VI e di Giovanni Paolo I, cioè a Sotto il Monte (Bergamo) con il 53,4 per cento dei voti, a Concesio (Brescia) con il 44,9 per cento e a Canale d’Agordo (Belluno) con il 46,5 per cento. Per finire una curiosità. La Lega ha stravinto anche a Magnano (Biella), di cui è frazione Bose, la località del celebre monastero fondato dall’ultrabergogliano Enzo Bianchi, con 95 voti contro i 63 del Partito democratico. ————— > Tutti gli articoli di Settimo Cielo in italiano 2.

[email protected] Page !1 June 26, 2019 Last Saturday, a Church of Ireland parish launched an exciting new initiative to tackle the crisis of climate change. As part of the bicentenary celebrations of Holy Trinity Church, plans were announced for a new Climate Action Woodland, to be developed on a picturesque site in the historic village of Aughrim. The very first tree of the new Climate Action Woodland was planted in memory of the late Michael Hyde, by members of his family. It was part of an inter–church ceremony led by the bishop of Limerick and Killaloe, the Right Reverend Kenneth Kearon, alongside Fr Gerard Geraghty, Archdeacon Wayne Carney, the Reverend Patrick Towers, and the Reverend John Godfrey, rector of the Aughrim and Creagh parish unions. “We feel that we can’t just sit back and ignore the crisis of climate change any longer. If we are to look our children and grandchildren in the eye, then we as a church urgently need to take a lead on climate action in our own community,” said Mr Godfrey. “This Climate Action Woodland will help to take carbon out of the atmosphere and protect biodiversity. But even more importantly, as people use it, it could inspire them to make brave changes in their own lifestyles. This is a symbol of hope, that if we act together now, we can stop climate change spiralling out of control.” Whilst enabling people to enjoy the natural beauty of the area, the new woodland walk will also encourage them to reconnect with the ruins of an ancient abbey on those grounds.

Membro della prima Commissione Presbiterale Italiana Per decisione della C.E.I., è stata istituita la Commissione Pre- sbiterale Italiana, composta da due sacerdoti eletti da ciascuna delle Commissioni Regionali del Clero e dai rappresentanti di alcuni Or- dini religiosi in Italia. Sono stato eletto rappresentante del Clero della Regione Puglia e riconfermato per altre due volte, e quindi ho partecipato alle riu- nioni trimestrali per ben quindici anni. Insieme ad altri cinque, sono stato designato dai membri della C.P.I. a partecipare alle assemblee annuali della C.E.I. due volte (1975 e 1980). Quasi tutti i Consiglieri sono stati nominati cardinali (Giovanni Saldarini e Domenico Calcagno) e vescovi. Ho collaborato con i presidenti Guglielmo Giaquinta, Enrico Bartoletti, Luigi Maverna, Ennio Antonelli e Giuseppe Betori. La C.E.I. ha sempre provveduto alle spese di vitto e alloggio a Roma e altrove. La C.E.P. doveva provvedere al rimborso delle spese per il viaggio, erogate dalla C.E.I. tramite la C.E.P. Non ho ricevuto mai rimborsi, anche se richiesti per iscritto. Agli inizi e nei primi anni la C.P.I. ha dato il mio contributo sui problemi che riguardavano il clero italiano. Nei primi anni abbiamo lavorato per proporre soluzioni su pro- blemi economici, formativi e pastorali del Clero, discussi anche in sotto commissioni riunite quasi sempre in amene località dell’Italia settentrionale. Con il passare degli anni, come avviene per gli altri organismi di partecipazione ecclesiale, l’O.d.g., preparato dal direttivo con il pre- sidente, si riduceva ad ascoltare qualche conferenziere sulla forma- zione permanente del Clero, sui problemi della Scuola in Italia, dell’Unione Europea, dell’A.C.I., ecc.
