Alistair mentioned that the works on Academy Street went well with only 1 complaint. Events Still waiting for a list of events which will then be attached to appendix 1. Lochaber No programme or update submitted Nairn and Badenoch & Strathspey Surfacing works are almost complete Ross & Cromarty Still waiting for detailed plans for next financials years programme of works. Will attached to appendix 2 once they have been received. Caithness & Sutherland Caithness Surfacing work to commence on 04.11.19, please see attached programme of works in the email as I could not manipulate it to attach it as an appendix. Sutherland works have all be completed. 4.0 Street Lighting Inverness Please see attached works to be added to appendix 4 for Inverness Street Lighting. 5.0 Project Design Unit A list of PDU Schemes has been attached to appendix 5. 6.0 Trunk Road Issues - Bear (Scotland) Ltd Planned works are attached to appendix 6. Peter mentioned works at Craigory to Allangrange north of Kessock Bridge will include both lane closures and turn bans. Peter also discussed the works at Allt Fhiodhan Bridge Perm (Glencoe) will include some convoys for a few days. Works to take place on Bruce Avenue & Bruce Gardens that are going to follow onto the A82 were discussed. Peter mentioned that Scottish Water need to close the east lane to do works and could this possible be done during the school holidays. Darren stated the works have been pushed back from November 2019 to January 2020 and will advise that the A82 part should only take place during the Easter holidays in 2020. Darren will chase Scottish Water and get a programme of works sorted out and let Peter know the outcome. 7.0 Planned Works – Utilities: 8.0 Openreach Duncan MacLennan provided a copy of Openreach’s programme of works in Appendix 7. Duncan advised that if anyone had issues/concerns to contact him. 9.0 Scottish Water . Darren Pointer provided a list of works which can be found in Appendix 8. Darren will liaise with Peter regarding works at Rangemore and Tomnahurich Street Inverness. Works to commence around March in Wick and will include around 40 closures. There is a meeting to take place om 12/11/19 and Darren thinks Jonathan Gunn should attend this meeting and will ask that he gets an invite. Alistair Macleod brought up the closure to take place at Nairnside. These works are to start in 4-5 weeks’ time however Darren was unaware of this. Alistair’s contact was Martin Fraser from Global. 10.0 Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) No planned works just customer driven and reactive work. Works at Harbour Road next week were discussed between Fiona & Alistair. Work will take place between 7 -10 nights. Fiona stated she would obtain a copy of the programme from Andrew for their works. Please see programme attached to appendix 9 11.0 Scotland Gas Networks (SGN) No changes have been made to the current programme so please see appendix 10 for a list of the works. 12.0 Scottish Road Works Register (SRWR) Alistair mentioned that City Fibre plan to commence works next month in Inverness (starting in Smithton and will have around 20 early starts). Jonathan mentioned they have already completed works in Wick and are half way through works in Thurso. Duncan mentioned that they rented the ducts off Openreach in Wick. Darren mentioned that it had been discussed that the warranty on works is to be extended to 6 years rather than the 2 years it is currently at. He stated that Scottish Water are discussing ways for them to take on board the warranty after the contractors initial 2 years have finished. 13.0 Public Transport No issues currently reported. 14.0 Health and Safety Issues Jonathan Gunn mentioned the issues at Castletown with Openreach’s footway box that keeps being damaged. Duncan stated that they will be changing 4 footway boxes (to move them more to the middle of the footpath) in the near future which will include the one in Castletown and that should sort the problem. 15.0 AOCB Alison wanted to discuss at this meeting the dates for next year’s meeting however as she could not attend this will be postponed until the next RAUC meeting. Alistair mentioned about avoiding dates within school holidays for future meetings as the turn out for this meeting was smaller than usual. Alistair brought up the issue in Dornoch (on behalf of Alison) and Darren stated that Courtney had replied to Alison regarding this issue on 15/10/19. A works order has been raised and passed to the contractor. Darren will chase Courtney to find out more. Peter mentioned that Transformers are being moved from Invergordon to Fort Augustus in the 1st quarter of next year. This will include 2 sets of convoys with 3 in each convoy and it will have a police escort taking place over 2 days. There may be an issue with the Bridge at Auchterawe. Alistair mentioned that the roads in Jenkins park may need re-decking before the transport happens. Alistair wanted to wish Peter all the best in his retirement and to thank him for his attendance and input into all the past RAUC meetings. Darren asked if any of the National Coring results had been received and Duncan stated that nothing has come back yet. Duncan brought up that Openreach will be using Viafix as a permanent solution going forward for their direct labour team. To use for 2 sqm or less. Jonathan mentioned that the Highland Council already use this solution for temporary patching. 16.0 Next Meeting Will take place on 30th January 2020 at 94 Diriebught Road, Inverness, IV2 3QN at 10am.
