Transport Department Notice Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements for Public Procession on 19 May 2019 Members of the public are advised that in order to facilitate the public procession in Sham Shui Po District, the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm on 19 May 2019 (Sunday): A. TEMPRORARY LANE CLOSURES Traffic lanes on the following road sections will be intermittently closed by phases: (a) Cheung Sha Wan Road eastbound between Cheung Sha Wan Playground and Nam Cheong Street; (b) Nam Cheong Street southbound between Cheung Sha Wan Road and Lai Chi Kok Road; (c) Lai Chi Kok Road westbound between Nam Cheong Street and Yen Chow Street; (d) Yen Chow Street northbound between Lai Chi Kok Road and Cheung Sha Wan Road; and (e) Cheung Sha Wan Road westbound between Yen Chow Street and Kowloon Technical School. B. BUS DIVERSIONS A total of 36 bus routes will be temporarily diverted as follows: Bus routes nos. Direction Diversion before resuming normal routeing KMB Routes 36B, 44, 46, To Mong Kok / Tai Kok via Cheung Sha Wan Road, Hing Wah 52X and 265B Tsui / West Kowloon Street and Lai Chi Kok Road. Station Cross Harbour Route 112; To Mei Foo / So Uk via Nathan Road, Lai Chi Kok Road, Wong KMB Routes 2 and 2A Chuk Street, Tai Po Road, Un Chau Street and Tonkin Street. KMB Route 36B To Lei Muk Shue via Wong Chuk Street, Tai Po Road and Un Chau Street. KMB Routes 66X and 68X To New Territories via Wong Chuk Street, Tai Po Road, Un Chau Street and Hing Wah Street and Cheung Sha Wan Road. Cross Harbour Routes 102, To Mei Foo/ Lai Chi Kok/ via Nathan Road, Lai Chi Kok Road, Tai 171, 904 and 905; KMB New Territories Nan West Street and Cheung Sha Wan Routes 30X, 35A, 42A, 52X, Road. 58X, 59X, 60X, 67X, 69X, 98C, 234X, 238X and 265B KMB Routes 33A, 37, and To New Territories via Lai Chi Kok Road, Tai Nan West Street 44 and Cheung Sha Wan Road. KMB Route 2E To Kowloon City Ferry via Nam Cheong Street, Un Chau Street, Yen Chow Street, Lai Chi Kok Road and Nam Cheong Street. KMB Routes 86C and 214 To Cheung Sha Wan via Nam Cheong Street, Un Chau Street, Hing Wah Street and Cheung Sha Wan Road. KMB Route 87B To Tai Kok Tsui via Nam Cheong Street, Berwick Street, Shek Kip Mei Street, Tai Po Road, Cheung Sha Wan Road, Nathan Road, Mong Kok Road, Sai Yeung Choi Street South and Argyle Street. Cross Harbour Route 118 To Cheung Sha Wan via Lai Chi Kok Road, Boundary Street, Hai Tan Street and Yen Chow Street. Cross Harbour Route 118 To Siu Sai Wan via Tonkin Street and Lai Chi Kok Road CTB Routes A20, E21 To Tung Chung / Airport via Nathan Road, Lai Chi Kok Road, and E21A Tonkin Street and Cheung Sha Wan Road CTB Route A20 To Hung Hom Station via Cheung Sha Wan Road, Hing Wah Street, Lai Chi Kok Road and Nathan Road. CTB Route E21 To Tai Kok Tsui via Cheung Sha Wan Road, Hing Wah Street, Lai Chi Kok Road, Shanghai Street and Argyle Street. CTB Route E21A To Oi Man via Cheung Sha Wan Road, Hing Wah Street, Lai Chi Kok Road, Shanghai Street and Mong Kok Road. NWFB Route 702 To Festival Walk via Sham Mong Road and Tonkin Street. Affected bus stops will be suspended and replacement stops will be provided until the traffic resumes normal. C. ATTENTION AND APPEAL Actual implementation of the lane closures, traffic control and public transport diversions will be made by the Police at the time depending on the prevailing circumstances, traffic and crowd conditions in the areas. Notices will be put up by public transport operators to advise passengers of the above temporary arrangements. The passengers should pay attention to the arrangements of route diversions and suspension of stops. Members of the public who plan to go to the affected area are advised to plan their journeys earlier, use alternative routes, and allow more traveling time to cater for unexpected delay. Motorists are also advised to avoid driving to the affected areas. They should exercise tolerance and patience in case of traffic congestion, take heed of instruction given by the Police; and watch out for the latest traffic news to be broadcasted by the media.
