LITTLE ITALY GALLERIES This quaint Little Italy neighborhood serves as the backdrop for some intriguing art galleries, featuring both local and international artists, contemporary and historical. Mitzie Verne is the grandmother of actor James Franco, but she has another claim to fame here in Cleveland: she and her husband are the founders of the Verne Collection, a local art gallery featuring Japanese prints and paintings. Established in 1953, the collection is a slice of history and features Japa- nese artists from the 18th and 19th centuries, as well some contemporary pieces. PARADE THE CIRCLE Every June, The Cleveland Museum of Art puts on its own event, Parade the Circle and has been doing so for nearly 30 years. HOLIDAY CIRCLEFEST This annual celebration introduces family and friends to Cleveland’s cultural hub.
