Dengan keluasan 949.86 km persegi Ia ditadbir oleh dua agensi kerajaan iaitu Pejabat Daerah dan Tanah Slim River dan Majlis Daerah Tanjong Malim (MDTM). Kedua-dua institusi ini adalah merupakan nadi dan penghubung langsung antara Kerajaan dengan orangramai. Keberkesanan pentadbiran kedua-dua institusi ini melambangkan imej pentadbiran Kerajaan samada baik atau buruk. Majlis Daerah Tanjong Malim merupakan Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan bagi Daerah Kecil Slim River/Tanjong Malim ini. Sebagai Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan yang dikenali sebagai kerajaan ketiga iaitu yang paling hampir dengan rakyat sudah tentu hasrat kerajaan memerintah agar rakyat didahulukan pencapaian diutamakan diberi penekanan walaupun “pelbagai pihak” sedia maklum kekurangan dan kekangan yang ada pada pentadbir Pintu Masuk Utama selatan negeri Perak ini. Selama tiga dekad, pentadbir ini sedikit sangat dibantu untuk memakmurkan Pintu Masuk Utama Negeri Perak. Secara tidak langsung mengambarkan Perak seadanya walaupun tiga dekad yang telah berlalu itu begitu ramai yang ditauliahkan pangkat “Laksamana” dipersada pemerintahan Negara namun amat sedikit pula yang berbakti kepada Negeri tumpah darahnya. Negeri Perak hingga ke hari ini dan bandar-bandar pentingnya terus secara halus dilupa dan seolah-olah dipinggirkan. Walaupun suatu ketika dahulu negeri Perak pernah menjadi “Juara” dan “Big Brother” kerana kekayaan hasil buminya dan pemurah para pemimpinnya. Kini ia tinggal kenangan. Tanah yang dulunya kaya dengan Bijih Timah kini tinggal kolam-kolam yang kebanyakannya amat terhad penggunaannya. -

We do this by giving opportunities to our students and staff to engage with the com- munity in our programmes and activities inside and outside the campus environ- ment. The Provider-Based Evaluation (ProBE) 2014 Preliminary Report I. Background of ProBE 2014 The Provider-Based Evaluation (ProBE), continuation of the formerly known Malaysia Government Portals and Websites Assessment (MGPWA), has been concluded for the assessment year of 2014. As mandated by the Government of Malaysia via the Flagship Coordination Committee (FCC) Meeting chaired by the Secretary General of Malaysia, MDeC hereby announces the result of ProBE 2014. Effective Date and Implementation The assessment year for ProBE 2014 has commenced on the 1 st of July 2014 following the announcement of the criteria and its methodology to all agencies. A total of 1086 Government websites from twenty four Ministries and thirteen states were identified for assessment. Methodology In line with the continuous and heightened effort from the Government to enhance delivery of services to the citizens, significant advancements were introduced to the criteria and methodology of assessment for ProBE 2014 exercise. The year 2014 spearheaded the introduction and implementation of self-assessment methodology where all agencies were required to assess their own websites based on the prescribed ProBE criteria. The key features of the methodology are as follows: ● Agencies are required to conduct assessment of their respective websites throughout the year; ● Parents agencies played a vital role in monitoring as well as approving their agencies to be able to conduct the self-assessment; ● During the self-assessment process, each agency is required to record -

Design/methodology/approach – Malaysia first issued an EMCO following a cluster that involved a religious gathering. The EMCO was issued to lockdown the area, undertake screening, treat positive cases and quarantine their close contacts. Active case detection and mass sampling were the main activities involving the population in both zones. Findings – One hundred ninety-three confirmed COVID-19 cases were identified from the total population of 2,599. Of these cases, 99.5% were Malaysians, 31.7% were aged >60 years and all four deaths (Case Fatality Rate, 2.1%) were elderly people with comorbidities. -
