Annual Parish Meeting Our Annual Parish meeting will be held on Thursday 4th April 2019 at 7pm at St Nicholas Church Hall. The main focus of the meeting will be to consult with residents about the production of a Neighbourhood Plan for Curdworth and how this will be of benefit to the community. We will be seeking a team of volunteers who would be willing to develop and drive a Neighbourhood Plan forward. As a meeting for residents, it is also an opportunity for you to raise issues of local concern that you would like to draw to the attention of the Parish Council. PARISH COUNCIL MEETING The next meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Monday 11th March. Dog Bins The Parish Council now have arrangements in hand for the employment of a resident who will be taking on the duties of emptying the dog bins on a regular basis. Many thanks to all the volunteers who have kindly donated their time to do this in the short term. CURDWORTH COMMUNITY HEARTBEAT The next meeting of the Curdworth Community Heartbeat will be on Monday 11th March 2019 at 7.00pm at St Nicholas Church Hall (until 7.30pm). We would still like volunteers to come along and help with the running of the group – we also need volunteers who would be willing to go on a rota to check the equipment. This might just be 10 minutes once or twice a month, but would be invaluable support. Anyone willing to help, please come along to the meeting or contact Community Heartbeat members – Alan Vaughton, Jan Weatherley or Anne Arkell – or the Parish Council Clerk 3 To advertise in next months edition contact us: 07843853653 or [email protected] Did you know that superfast broadband might already be available to you? Having access to faster broadband allows individuals, families, businesses and communities to: • Browse the web faster • Stream HD films, TV shows, games and videos without buffering slowing you down • Talk face-to-face with friends and family using Skype, FaceTime or similar software • Compete with other businesses in the increasingly competitive global marketplace • Reduce workplace costs through remote working / working from home • Make use of a whole host of other online opportunities that wouldn’t otherwise be possible Please Note: Even though your FTTC cabinet may have been upgraded, not every property connected to it is guaranteed to benefit due to some properties’ distances from the cabinet and/or quality of copper connections. 4 Barry Mordue 15th June 1944– 18th December 2018 Following Barry’s sudden death before Christmas, Margaret, Gary, Amelia and their families would like to thank everyone for their kindness and many messages of sympathy and support at this difficult time. They are especially grateful for the many generous donations in Barry’s name to Cancer Research UK and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.
