Abel Tasman Youth Ambassadors Our four Motupipi Youth Ambassadors spent last Saturday island hopping from to Tonga Island in the marine reserve and were able to bring family members along to enjoy the day. It was a great day out for ATYA crew and family members and other invited guests and experts. We learned about the marine reserve, sea mammals, geology, plants and ecosystems, predator free islands and the efforts needed to keep them predator free. We also came up with ideas how to get the message across to park users to keep the islands predator free.

Aliana, Iyla, Emily and Bella on Fisherman Island

On Thursday I had tennis with Ngaire. It was really fun. We played popcorn, squash the bug, hamburger and fruit salad. We played with Room Three. We were really good listeners. My favourite game was fruit salad. You need balls and children. 1. Stand in a line 2. Get a threesome and choose a fruit. By Amelie, Room Five 3. One person has balls 4. The person who has the balls calls out a name of a fruit. 5. That group has to run and the person who has the balls, throws the balls at the group. 6. The group tries to dodge the balls. 7. Once the group has gone back to their place, you choose another fruit group.
