CENTRAL ITALY

1st day ROME Arrival at Fumicino airport and transfer to the hotel. Check in and lunch. During afternoon we have a panoramic view with guide of this imperial city: Campidoglio square, Fori Imperiali and Colosseum (from outside). Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

2nd day ROME Breakfast. In the morning visit with guide of Vatican Museums (visit booked in advance) and Sistine Chapel, then St. Peter's Basilica. Lunch. In the afternoon we continue the tour with our guide visiting the baroque Rome: Quirinale Palace, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza di Spagna and Navona square. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

3rd day ROME – ORVIETO - SIENA Breakfast. Departure for Orvieto and we visit with guide of Orvieto dome, a beautiful example of gothic-romanic architecture with plenty of art works inside. The most remarkable is the Corporal shrine, a masterpiece of goldsmiths shop of 13th century. Lunch in restaurant. In the afternoon departure for Siena; we visit with guide the historical centre: Piazza del Campo (where is held the famous Palio) with the Town Hall and the Mangia tower, the Cathedral and the Baptistery. In the evening arrival at the hotel, accommodation, dinner and overnight.

4th day: SIENA – SAN GIMIGNANO - PISA - FLORENCE Breakfast. Departure for Pisa passing through the panoramic landscape of Chianti region. We make a stop to visit with guide San Gimignano, a lovely small medieval town declared patrimony of UNESCO. Then we proceed for Pisa where we have lunch in a typical restaurant. In the afternoon guided tour of Piazza dei Miracoli: Baptistery, the Dome and the symbol of the town: the world famous leaning tower called “Torre Pendente”. At the end we continue for Florence. Arrival at the hotel, accommodation, dinner and overnight.

5th day FLORENCE Breakfast. We start our guided tour walking through the historical city centre from the train station Santa Maria Novella towards Dome of Santa Maria del Fiore. During this tour we will see the most elegant streets of the city. We also visit Saint Giovanni Baptistery and Giotto's Tower. Lunch in restaurant. In the afternoon we continue our tour towards Palazzo della Signoria and Palazzo Vecchio; we pass on the ancient bridge Ponte Vecchio and we arrive to Pitti Palace. We end the tour at Santo Spirito square. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

6th day FLORENCE -ASSISI Breakfast. Departure for Assisi. Arrival and visit with guide the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli with Porziuncola church. Lunch and in the afternoon we continue our visit to the Basilica of Santa Chiara, Town Hall square and Basilica of San Francesco. Arrival at the hotel, accommodation, dinner and overnight.

7th day: ASSISI- SPELLO- SPOLETO - ROME Breakfast. Departure for Spello: guided tour of Santa Maria Maggiore church, Republic square with the town hall and the Venus Gate. Then we continue to Spoleto, gorgeous town known for its Two Worlds Festival (Festival dei due Mondi) and its Tower Bridge. Lunch. In the afternoon we visit with guide the historical centre. Return to Rome. Arrival at the hotel, accommodation, dinner and last overnight of the tour.

8th day ROME Breakfast. Transfer from the hotel to Fiumicino airport and end of our services
