BPS UPDATE

The BPS application window opens Wednesday 13th March 2019 and closes Wednesday 15th May 2019. If you are an existing customer, please return your disclaimer and a copy of your claim statement to the office. If you are a new customer or have any queries please contact the office on 01947 602298 and ask to speak to Ian Daphne or Emily.

CONDITIONS OF SALE APPLICABLE

1 Calves must be the property of an Associate Member of the Association who is a bonafide owner & breeder of the stock. A very small number of calves may have been recently purchased with their dams and therefore will show more than one movement on the passport. 2 Calves must have been reared under the single or double suckled system. 3 Calves must be beef type approved by this Association (Calves bred from Ayrshire, Jersey, Guernsey & Holstein cows will not be considered eligible for the sale under any circumstances). 4 It is recommended that calves are de-horned. 5 All calves must be double ear tagged. 6 If an incorrect Passport is given to a purchaser, the purchaser must inform the Auctioneers WITHIN 7 DAYS and the vendor must ensure that the purchaser is supplied with the correct Passport otherwise the purchaser may return the animal to the vendor and claim from him any expenses incurred

WARRANTIES 1 That no heifer is in calf on the day of the sale 2 That no calf has been given any form of synthetic hormones.

PENALTIES Purchaser may claim 25% of the purchase price or may return the animal to the vendor who must pay the purchaser any reasonable expense incurred by him since date of purchase, if the purchaser is able to prove breach of warranty. The Vendor has the option to either pay him 25% of the purchase price or have the animal returned to him. Complaints regarding heifers proving to be in calf must be notified to the Auctioneers within six calendar months and five days of the sale.

ALL COMPLAINTS REGARDING HEIFERS IN CALF MUST NOW BE NOTIFIED TO THE AUCTIONEERS AT LEAST 28 DAYS PRIOR TO THE HEIFER CALVING. IF NO NOTIFICATION HAS BEEN RECEIVED IN TIME BY THE AUCTIONEERS,THE PURCHASER IS NOT ENTITLED TO ANY COMPENSATION WHATSOEVER REGARDLESS OF WARRANT 1.

Complaints regarding uncasterated Male calves, sold as Steers, must be notified to the Auctioneers within fourteen days of the sale.
