We are so excited to bring you Artwaves LIVE Online Fall Event. Five days of creative art classes from November 3 – 7, 2021. With a variety of classes available from acrylics, mixed media, oils, coloured pencil, watercolour, fabric paint and more. Join some of the top artists for fun and personal classes right to your home. Thank you to all the teachers/ educators that are working hard to bring you awesome classes for an amazing 5 days of creativity.

The event will also include a Private Facebook group, demonstrations, make & takes, door prizes and more.

For those already registered for the 2021 Artwaves West show you will be automatically emailed your updated class confirmation and the updated 2021 catalogue.

All classes will be hosted live through Zoom. Once you register you will receive confirmation. Approximately 6 weeks before the show you will receive an email from your teachers with the e-, any additional instructions for the class and the Zoom link to get into the class.

Registration The fee to register for the 2021 ArtWaves LIVE Online Fall Event is $89. This includes access to register for any class, special event, access to private Facebook group and live kick off event, demonstrations, make and takes, door prizes, and more! VISA, MASTERCARD, CHEQUES, PAYPAL and E-transfers are all accepted. (US students: NO cheques please.) Please note that all prices are in Canadian funds.

Classes BEGINNER: basic knowledge INTERMEDIATE: good understanding of fundamentals - average pace ADVANCED: extensive experience and skill - fast pace

Six weeks before the class the educator/teacher will email the student an E-Pattern Packet, list of supplies, any additional instructions and the Zoom class link. Some teachers may offer a “supply kit” that can be purchased ahead of time from that teacher. Last day to order supply kits is October 8, 2021. Due to mailing restrictions, there is no guarantee that you will receive your supply kit before class.

2 Any questions in regards to the class should be directed to the teacher. All classes will be through ZOOM so make sure you download the Zoom app on your computer/tablet. It is recommended that you have high-speed internet and your computer or device is powerful enough to handle live streaming. Zoom practice sessions will be scheduled the week of October25th. Notices will be posted on the Artwaves LIVE Facebook group and also emailed out to registered students.

Release of Liability If there is a problem gaining access to the Zoom classroom or the network should go down due to an “Act of God”, Coast to Coast Events and its teachers shall not be held responsible. We will do our best to get the system back up as soon as possible if it is within our control.

Cancellation Policy Purchases are non refundable. Should you need to cancel you will receive a credit towards a future event.

Surfaces/Supplies All classes allow the opportunity for students using their own supplies and surfaces. These are not included in your class fee. 101 “A COUNTRY SONG!” Acrylic Painting by Debbie Cotton. Students will learn how to paint each step from creating the suggested meadow, background fog to the rusty tractor. 102 In this class students will be learning how to paint a copper patina on textured metallic. You will also learn to paint a bird and branch silhouette. The surface should be a 6 x 20 wood panel or canvas. You will need basic painting supplies and brushes. Paint colours will be available in e-packet after registration. Supply your own surface/supplies

103 Students will learn to create weathered wood. You will learn to layer colours to create beautiful florals. Surface is a 12” x 16” canvas. Recommended Brushes:1" wash, 1/4”, 1/8” angle brush, 1/4” domed stippler (dry brush), # 2 script liner, #8 filbert , #4, #8 round, #3 foliage brush or small bristle, variety of brushes of your choice Supply your own surface/supplies

104 In this workshop you will learn to paint wet on wet and to paint double loaded trees. You will need a 5” x 10” wooden plaque and a diamond shaped glass tile. You will need a of adhesion medium, 20/0 mini fan, 1/4” deerfoot, regular brushes, glitter, glue pen, pattern. Paint colours will be available in e- packet after registration. Kits Available from teacher for $27 which includes surface, adhesion medium, 20/0 mini fan, Glitter, Glue Pen and pattern. 105 Students will learn how to transfer design onto lead free pewter sheet and use the three key metal emboss tooling techniques as well as texture wheels and ball and cup tool. A chemical patina will create an antique finish and a variety of colouring options will be discussed and demonstrated. Supplies: Pewter Sheet 20 cm x 12 cm, Scorpal or SookWang tape sheet 20 cm x 12 cm, Shrine shape wood block;, Metallic Texture Block, Alcohol Swabs, Jax Pewter Black or Novacan Black Patina, Never-Dull Magic Wadding Polish, Betun de Judea (this will be available as an optional kit). You will also need Nitril Gloves or disposable gloves, cotton balls, paper towel, For you will need Beeswax, melting pot and glss dripper or Mod Podge Dimensional Magic (available at WalMart, Michael’s or Amazon), small 4 mm low-cost paint brush and fine paint brushes to apply patina and paints. Baby Oil to clean oil-based paint or alcohol swabs for alcohol inks. You will need spray lacquer for sealing metal (I use Rustoleum Painter’s Touch Clear Glossy or Satin). Paints: Paint colours will be available in e-packet after registration. Tools: (Available on www.pewterart.ca) paper pen, Teflon Tip/Stylus, plastic eraser tool (available on my Online store as Bare Basics Tool Set) www.pewterart.ca. Dotted Texture Wheel (optional) or you could use a tracing wheel from your sewing kit. Ball and cup tool (optional - can use an old ballpoint pen to make domes), X-acto knife. Surfaces: hard smooth surface-can be glass, acrylic or Masonite. (You can also use a clipboard!), thin sheet of craft foam (available from Dollarstore or Michaels), 5 sheets of construction or copy paper, cutting mat.

106 Students will learn wet on wet and blending techniques. Teacher will be giving product and Dynasty Brush tips. You will need a 12 x 16 canvas, Dynasty Brushes: 3/4 Filbert, 3/4 Angle Brush, 5/8 Angle Brush, 5/8 mop 400 series, #1 liner, #4 flat for leaves on cup. You will need basic

19 painting supplies and your favourite brushes. Paint colours will be available in e-packet after registration. Supply your own surface/supplies

107 Learn to use a Fibert Wave while working wet on wet. Learn to blend on fabric. For the surface I used a 20 x 20 pillow cover but you can use any fabric. You will need 1/2 shader, 5/8 angle, #2 rigger, #14 chisel blender, three sable drybrushes, Faux Squirrel #8 Filbert Wave. For paints, just use any SoSoft Fabric paints you have. You can also use Fabric Medium with your Acrylic paints if you would like. Paint colours will be available in e-packet after registration. Supply your own surface/supplies

109 Students will learn how to create a decorative mosaic using glass seed beads and wax on a laser-cut snowflake. Students will also learn how to seal their project and add a hanging ribbon. Kits are required for this class. The kit will include two pre-painted ornaments (different designs), size 11/0 glass seed beads in various colours, ribbon for hanging, adhesive wax, bead mosaic applicator, sealant, written instructions and suggested pattern. Kit price is $22.50 plus applicable mailing costs. A Kit $22.50 plus shipping is required for this class! Please contact the teacher!

110 Students will learn to paint entirely in the negative using analogues colours. You will need 9” x 12” Arches Watercolour paper 140 lb cold pressed. Paint colours will be available in e-packet after registration. Two round watercolour brushes approximately #4 and #12. Arches 140lb watercolour paper, water , paper towel, masking tape, pencil. Supply your own surface/supplies

111 Learn reverse canvas, staining the frame, slip slap background techniques. You will need to supply the 8” x 8” canvas, baby wipes, scissors, stapler, mop brushes, angle brushes, acrylic paints - list will be available in e-packet after registration. Supply your own surface/supplies

114 In this class, students will learn to stencil and to block in colours. You will need a large flat, stencil brush, #8 round, #10 flat, script liner, basic paint supplies, and a 12” x 16” canvas, acrylic paints. Paint colours will be available in e-packet after registration. Supply your own surface/supplies

220 Learn how to loosen up with paint to create impressionistic leaves. Learn how to create a dreamy background. Learn how to paint flipped and tilted petals. You will need a 7 x 11 metal tray, water basin, paper towels, palette paper. Brushes: 3/4”, #12, #8 flats, 3/8” and 1/4” angle brushes, liner of choice, small & medium mop, acrylic paints, blow dryer/heat tool is recommended. 221 Students will learn the Potawatomie beading stitch to create a wrap bracelet using size 8/0 seed beads of various colours. The wrap bracelet will have a button making it easy to wear. This is a great first beading project! A chemical patina will create a vintage finish to the rose and a text paper background, enhanced with inks and paints, will form the backdrop for our heart pendant. 461 Students will learn how to transfer design onto lead free pewter sheet using a metal embellishment as a texture plate. With basic metal embossing techniques, we will further enhance our project using ball and cup tools and texture wheels. High relief embossing will be filled with melted beeswax or alternate filler. An ink and paint patina will complete our trinket cover.
