By Pastor DEVOTIONAL Chris Philbeck On a recent weekend, I preached a special message called, “A Life of IMPACT.” I used a story from Acts 10 where Peter has the op- portunity to tell a man named Cornelius the truth about Jesus. In verses 37-38, Peter de- scribes Jesus to Cornelius in a way that can be summarized like this: He went around doing good because God was with him. Now the Bible makes it clear that, as Chris- tians, we’re to follow the example of Jesus. 1 John 2:6 says, Whoever claims to lie in him, must walk as Jesus did. But thinking about fol- lowing the example of Jesus can sometimes be difficult because Jesus did so many things that ordinary people like you and me will never do (think supernatural). At the same time, I don’t know anyone who can’t follow his example of doing good. Recently I read the story of Patrick Greene who lived in San Antonio, Texas who has had a long history of disliking Christians. At one point Greene, an outspoken atheist, Left, Students at Saints Francis & Clare Catholic School work on the film through the Lenten season.
