WSJ/NBC 4 NY/Marist Poll of 1216 New York City Adults This Survey Of How the Survey was Conducted Nature of the Sample: WSJ/NBC 4 NY/Marist Poll of 1,216 New York City Adults This survey of 1,216 New York City adults was conducted September 15th and September 16th, 2013. Adults 18 years of age and older residing in New York City were interviewed by telephone. Telephone numbers were selected based upon a list of telephone exchanges from throughout the city. The exchanges were selected to ensure that each borough was represented in proportion to its population. To increase coverage, this landline sample was supplemented by respondents reached through random dialing of cell phone numbers. The samples were then combined and balanced to reflect the 2010 Census results for age, gender, income, race, and borough. Interviews were conducted in both English and Spanish. Results for adults are statistically significant within ±2.8 percentage points. There are 930 registered voters. Results for this subset are statistically significant within ±3.2 percentage points. There are 632 likely voters defined by a probability turnout model. This model determines the likelihood respondents will vote in the 2013 election for mayor based upon their chance of vote, interest in the election, and past election participation. The results for this subset are statistically significant within ±3.9 percentage points. The error margin increases for cross-tabulations. "I've been able to do something no candidate has been able to do: I got all of my opponents -- Democrat and Republican and independent alike -- to agree on something," he said. "You know what it is? They don't want me running." Weiner is polling in fourth place among the Democrats after a second-wave sexting scandal. Front-running candidates, including Christine Quinn and Bill Thompson, have this week turned their attention to attacking each other rather than Weiner.     Pinnacle Award Nominations for Quality and Patient Safety 2014 HANYS Pinnacle Award Nominations for Quality and Patient Safety 2014 Introduction The Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS) is pleased to present this compendium of submissions for the 2014 HANYS’ Pinnacle Award for Quality and Patient Safety. Hospitals, nursing homes, and home care agencies across the state are in the midst of perhaps the most rapid and comprehensive healthcare transformation in modern history. The pace continues to accelerate as government and providers alike seek to achieve the “Triple Aim” of improving health, enhancing care quality, and lowering costs. As these submissions show, HANYS’ members are committed to continuously improving quality, safety, and efficacy of care, and have made tremendous advances in redesigning the way care is delivered in their communities to meet these goals. The results have been dramatic and will be sustained through “hard-wired” system changes and the transformation of organizational culture.
