ALC k MBA Olga Marina: Kazakhstan “After a year of taking intensive English classes at the American Language Center, I felt confident in my ability to handle graduate-level academic work. Thanks to ALC’s professional teachers and a carefully designed curriculum, I got the essential language skills that helped me graduate from Pepperdine University with a Master’s Degree in Global Business.”

ALC k Law School Abdulrahman Nabil Alsaleh: Saudi Arabia “After completing my academic English studies at the American Language Center, I was accepted at USC, one of the top law schools in the U.S. I completed my LLM degree and currently am a second-year PhD student in Corporate Law and Governance at Indiana University and a visiting research scholar at Harvard University.”

ALC k Certificate Program Thais Melani: Brazil “I chose UCLA Extension because of its high teaching quality and because UCLA is a globally recognized educational institution. The IECP program in particular supported me to improve my English communication skills and my intercultural skills. It also prepared me for the TOEFL exam, which is one of the requirements for Certificate Programs at UCLA Extension. As a result, after just one quarter at the American Language Center, I was able to enroll as a full-time student in the Project Management Certificate Program.”

Student Testimonials

Aslihan Alhan: Turkey “I recommend ALC because the course is multi-faceted: students can learn writing, listening, grammar, reading and speaking, and spelling. Teachers are very kind, supportive, fair, and deliberate, and help you gain self-confidence. They don’t only teach language but also American culture at the same time. They organize activities together, so students can learn about Los Angeles life and participate in UCLA campus events.”

Nastaran Khodadani: Iran “I have been studying at the American Language Center for a year, getting high marks and reaching the advanced level. As a result, I had no difficulty getting accepted into a master’s degree program at an American university. I really appreciate all the teachers and staff at UCLA Extension for teaching me and for giving me this opportunity.”

Kazuma Koseki: Japan “The teachers are really helpful, kind, and motivated; they are more excellent than the word ‘excellent’ could express. I really feel that if I had not learned English at ALC, I would not be as successful as I am. While studying at ALC, I was planning to pursue an MBA, which means native-like English ability was a must. ALC helped me pass all the requirements such as the TOEFL and the GMAT that I needed in order to be accepted by business schools. Indeed, I passed all of these tests within six months and eventually completed my MBA degree on an academic scholarship.” Scan the QR code for more information and details on specific programs, or visit international.uclaextension.edu/alc
